Student answer (Band 6.0)

Individuals around the world have different perspective in life nowadays. Some says it is better to explore different places internationally while other choose to travel locally. However, I believe that traveling in your own country probably much better idea rather than exploring other country.

Exploring different places in your native country have different benefits. First, local individuals in the area will benefit financially in such a way that they be the tourguide of the vacationist. They can also earn money on cooking then selling local delicacies to the tourist. If they have a house, they renovate it to become transcient house or flat. Second, the local government can also benifit in many ways, tourism will improve definitely. The native community will gain additional budget through tourist by giving them some fee before entering the tourist spot. For example, the vacationist will pay environmental fee, entrance fee and other fee the can create funds to help to maintain the environment clean and green. Last, travellers can boost the tourism of local tourist spot because they can vlog it in different social media platform and also they past it to their closed friend and relative, how great the area was.

I therefore conclude that, travelling locally will definitely better than travelling internationally when holidays come. Individuals do not need to have a lot of fund to travel in your native area. It is also easy to communicate with their will be no language barriers. I hope that every human in thos world will love and respect their own native land.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of domestic tourism. The ideas are relevant, focusing on economic benefits and the ease of travel. However, the development is somewhat limited; while you mention economic benefits, the explanation of how local residents act as tour guides or renovate houses is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should expand on these points with more sophisticated reasoning or specific examples. The conclusion restates your position, but the overall development remains somewhat basic. The response is consistent in its stance throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First', 'Second', and 'Last' to sequence your points. However, the transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical, and the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences feel slightly disconnected. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be more cohesive to better link the supporting details to the main topic sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You use common terms like 'vacationist', 'tourist spot', and 'funds'. There are some errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'transcient' (transient), 'benifit' (benefit), and 'thos' (this). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and enhance the academic tone of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'Some says' (Some say), 'they be the tourguide' (they can be tour guides), and 'travelling locally will definitely better' (will definitely be better). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that auxiliary verbs are used correctly in your complex sentences.
