Student answer (Band 6.5)

Individuals in upcoming years will prefer to spend their vacation by travelling within the country rather than visiting international places. I totally agree to this statement as I think there are many benefits and reasons which make visitors to avoid travelling abroad for holiday, such as, the affordability and convenience.

To commence with, various reasons contribute to the people's decision of visiting places in native country. First and formost one is financial budget. To explain it, visitors would prefer to stay within their own country which will be supported by their financial condition. They can save money in camparison to go for expensive foreign travel. Thus, it would be common in future that people will prefer localization. Secondly, the another reason is working professionals. They work almost for five or six days which only allows them limited time to travel for their vacation and make it hard fot them to go out of region. Therefore, in this situation they would rather visit the places nearby they live. For instance, mosty working people in India travel to Kashmir and Himalya to spend their vacations and they numbers are increasing as compare to the past.

Moreover, sometimes people love to travel with their parents and children. In this case, they can only visit local places so that they can come back home easily and continue their regular lives. As a result, this becomes easy fot them to enjoy vacation without worring about travelling back from abroad. Additionally, it would also be easy for them to manage their time accordingly.

In conclusion, I am agree that individuals will travel within their native region to spend time during vacation for saving money, managing their professional life and to enjoy a family trip.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding financial constraints, time limitations for working professionals, and family convenience are relevant and logically developed. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the conclusion, which restates the points without adding depth. To reach a higher band, you should aim to extend your ideas with more nuanced analysis or counter-arguments. The position is consistent, and the main ideas are supported with relevant examples, such as the mention of travel in India, which helps ground the argument in reality.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'the another reason' which is grammatically awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, contributing to the overall clarity of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'localization', 'financial budget', and 'professional life'. However, there are several spelling errors ('formost', 'camparison', 'fot', 'mosty', 'worring') and some awkward collocations ('the another reason', 'I am agree'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the range of vocabulary that can be considered 'precise' or 'sophisticated'. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on accurate spelling would improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I am agree' instead of 'I agree', 'the another reason' instead of 'another reason', and 'they numbers are increasing' instead of 'their numbers'. Punctuation is mostly functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that affect the flow. The control of grammar is inconsistent; while you attempt complex structures, they often contain minor errors that prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would be beneficial.
