Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, going to overseas for a holiday is commonly increasing than exploring native country with a family. Although there are lot of people interested to visiting a foreign country, I believe that future generation people like to explore their own country to know more about tourist places and contribute to their growth.

Some people believe that going to a different country can useful to explore the other traditions. The main reason is that to interact with locals and learn their culture. for example, you can make new connections while you are in trip and experience a complete different environment. You can capture a lot of memories by experiencing new cuisines, different language and range of places.

Others argue that, the upcoming younger generations prefer to spend their holidays in their hometown along with their family and explore within the nation. one of the reason is that abroad travel is getting expensive day by day. In addition to that immigration waiting times are increasing to a big concern. Government is promoting local tourism to develop the nation and implementing lot of discounts to the citizens in public transports. Because of these benefits upcoming youth wants to spend time to explore the Indian history. As a result they can contribute towards the country economy while they enjoy.

In conclusion, Although more people wants to enjoy their foreign trips as a part of their routine, I strongly believe that future people tend to support government by promoting local tourism for the growth of rural areas and country economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments are relevant, particularly the discussion on economic benefits and government initiatives. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about 'immigration waiting times' is introduced but not fully explained in the context of holiday choices. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the supporting examples could be more detailed to reach a higher band. The conclusion reinforces the writer's stance effectively, ensuring the response remains focused on the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition to that', 'For example', and 'As a result', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the link between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is mostly accurate, though some sentences are slightly disjointed due to grammatical errors. Overall, the structure is coherent and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'local tourism', 'economy', and 'traditions'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'going to overseas' instead of 'going overseas' or 'future generation people'. Some word choices are slightly imprecise, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the intended meaning without difficulty.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'there are lot of people interested to visiting' (should be 'interested in visiting') and 'one of the reason is that' (should be 'one of the reasons is that'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent throughout the text. These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To improve, the writer should focus on refining sentence construction and ensuring consistent grammatical accuracy.
