Student answer (Band 6.5)
Travelling has become paramount part of individuals life, in this modern epoch. However it is considered that in the upcoming years, people will prefer to travel in their own country, during holidays, rather than any other country. I partly agree with this phenomenon because I believe that traveling in domestic country is a inexpensive and convenient option But still many people prefer to travel to other nations.
Among the myriad of reasons why I think that people would choose their own country, the predominant one is travelling in domestic country less expensive as compared to vising any other nation as they have to pay higher costs of flight tickets and accommodation and take stress of getting visa. A person, for example, who is traveling to Canada may have to pay higher amount of money for visa as well as for getting accommodation. So travelling in domestic nation is a affordable choice for people.
Apart from this, it is quit convenient for individual because they have knowledge about the language, culture and transportation of their own country so that is why they are more likely to enjoy their holidays because they do not need to worry about anything they know the rules and regulations and whatever they required to know.
However, I do not agree with the fact that tourism to foreign nations will disappear completely, because there are plethora of people who still intend to travel abroad because they are curios to get to know about culture, food, language and the way people survive there. My friend, for instance, is a person who love exploring different places, although he has visited many countries till now still he wants to visit nations as much as he can, just to get experience. Hence, it would be wrong to say that people will not travel to other countries for holidays.
All in All, albeit travelling in own country is a cheaper and convenient choice for holidays, nevertheless there are some people who tend to visit other countries to experience different culture at any cost. So I believe people will choose both based on their personal choice.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that is maintained throughout. The student acknowledges both the benefits of domestic travel (cost and convenience) and the enduring appeal of international tourism. Ideas are generally well-developed, such as the explanation regarding visa stress and language barriers. However, some points could be further extended to reach a higher band; for instance, the argument about why people choose foreign travel could be more analytical rather than relying solely on the personal example of a friend. Overall, the response is balanced and directly answers the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Among the myriad of reasons', 'Apart from this', and 'However'. While the progression is generally clear, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different sides of the argument. Referencing is mostly clear, though there are minor instances where the flow could be smoother with more varied linking words. The structure effectively guides the reader through the student's reasoning process.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including some less common items like 'myriad', 'predominant', and 'plethora'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'paramount part of individuals life' (should be 'a paramount part of individuals' lives') and 'domestic nation' (which is slightly redundant). Despite these minor slips, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning clearly and with some degree of precision. The student makes a good attempt to use topic-specific language related to tourism.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While there is an attempt at complex grammar, there are frequent minor errors in articles, pluralization, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a inexpensive', 'person... who love', 'whatever they required to know'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and run-on sentences. However, these errors do not impede communication, and the meaning remains clear throughout. To improve, the student should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring consistent verb tense usage.
