Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the upcoming time, ample amount of individuals will choose to go on vacation in their own nation and not pre rather than travel to another country. In my view, I disagree with the topic, as I feel that travel to the world has numerous benefits than travel to their own country.

This paragraph will throw some light on the brighter side of the world tour. To begin with, if people select different country for their holiday, they get a chance to explore new things and meet new people of particular country. Moreover, individuals also get a chance to eat various kinds of food, however it's difficult to get vegetarian food in several nution but nowadays huge amount of restaurants opened which provide vegan and non-vegetarian options.

Besides, humans will also learn different culture of the country where they will choose to go on vacation because they already know the culture of their own country. For instance the USA, Australia, Canada, Germany and many more countries have different culture as their festivals as well as religious also.

Conversely, the main demerit of the holiday in abroad is that the cost of the trip because in this modern era, the price of everything bee rise significantly compare to the past. If people select their own country as their holiday destination, so they will pay less than to go abroad internationally.

In closing, I would like to assert that, because of the international holiday trip human beings will meet new people and see beautiful scenery which they never feel in their whole life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position of disagreement regarding whether more people will holiday domestically rather than abroad in the future. The writer presents reasons supporting international travel, such as cultural exploration, culinary variety, and meeting new people, as well as acknowledging the counterargument of travel costs. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on food and culture in the second and third paragraphs tends to generalise without providing deep or fully elaborated examples. The conclusion largely reiterates previous points rather than extending them. This performance aligns well with Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but some ideas remain under-developed or unclear.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates an overall logical organisation with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised appropriately to separate distinct points, such as the benefits of world tours versus the financial demerit of going abroad. However, cohesive devices are occasionally mechanical or faulty, as seen in transition phrases like 'This paragraph will throw some light on the brighter side of the world tour', which sounds overly rehearsed and unnatural. Furthermore, referencing and logical progression within sentences sometimes falter, such as the abrupt shift in the food discussion ('however it's difficult to get vegetarian food in several nution'). While the essay remains coherent overall, these issues prevent it from reaching a higher band, placing it solidly at Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'demerit', 'international', and 'destination'. However, there are notable lexical inaccuracies and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'In the upcoming time', 'ample amount of individuals', 'pre rather than travel', and 'bee rise significantly'. Spelling errors such as 'nution' instead of 'nation' also occur. Although these errors do not impede communication, they reflect a lack of precision in word formation and collocation, which is characteristic of the Band 6 descriptor where vocabulary is adequate but marred by noticeable inaccuracies.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures ('if people select different country... they get a chance') and relative clauses. However, grammatical control is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in article usage ('travel to the world', 'different country'), subject-verb agreement ('price of everything bee rise'), prepositional choices, and word forms ('travel to their own country' vs 'holiday in abroad'). While these errors do not completely obscure the writer's meaning, they occur regularly and restrict the frequency of completely error-free sentences. This performance fits the Band 5 to 6 threshold, leaning towards Band 6 because communication is successfully maintained despite the errors.
