Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, tourism has an increasingly important topic of discussion. In the coming years, a large section of soicety think that individuals will select to go on vacations in their own region rather than travel other countries. I partially disagree with this notion because I have some valid reasons, which i will discuss in following paragraphs.
To commence with, there are multiple causes why most of the individuals choose own country to enjoy holidays in future. The first and foremost reason is that transportation and living cost become more expensive in future. In other words, If areoplan tickets and accommodations price has increase same peac then nobody can travel by the plan. Therefore, Tourist market becoming low in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The student attempts to address the prompt by expressing a partial disagreement regarding the future of domestic versus international tourism. However, the response is severely incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence with 'However,' after only 121 words. Because it falls well short of the 250-word minimum, the task is only partially addressed, and the ideas cannot be fully developed. Consequently, the performance aligns with Band 4.0 descriptors for Task Achievement, as the response is minimal and truncated, leaving the second side of the partial disagreement entirely unexplored.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates an attempt at logical organisation by employing cohesive phrases such as 'To commence with' and 'The first and foremost reason'. Paragraphing is partially visible, although the second paragraph breaks off abruptly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'most of the individuals choose own country'. Because the text is incomplete and halts prematurely, the overall progression is disrupted. However, looking at the language actually produced, there is a basic structural attempt, placing this performance at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited vocabulary with noticeable errors that occasionally strain comprehension, such as 'soicety' for 'society', 'areoplan' for 'aeroplane', and 'Tourist market becoming low' instead of decreasing. Phrases like 'living cost become more expensive' and 'same peac' (same pace) also highlight restricted word choice and spelling inaccuracies. While there is a minimal attempt to discuss tourism concepts, the lexical control is weak, fitting the Band 5.0 profile where vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate with noticeable errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as conditional clauses ('If areoplan tickets and accommodations price has increase same peac then...'). However, these complex structures are consistently faulty, marred by significant grammatical errors, tense inconsistencies ('has increase'), and missing articles ('travel by the plan'). Frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader. Nevertheless, simple sentences are generally understandable, which supports a Band 5.0 score for grammatical range and accuracy.
