Student answer (Band 6.0)
In my opinion, I would say that people in future will be more lively to travel abroad on holidays rather than exploring their own country. The emphasis on international holidays is purely based on exploring different cultures and traditions which is normally not seen in their own country. Furthermore, holidaying in their own country is available to them at all times without the need for visa and high travelling cost such as expensive airplanes tickets and carrying international currency.
A large number of people wants to go abroad at one point in their lifetime for holidays. It gives them a sense of joy and happiness and distract from their day to day life. Being in a new country give them independence and freedom to enjoy their time without holding up to their own country's culture. In addition to that, meeting people from diverse cultural backgrounds expose them to a whole new world which is exciting and fascinating at the same time. Professionals, most of the times, choose to go to international destination to relax and distract themselves from work stress and depression from work-life balance.
One of my friend who worked 10 years in a company in India always go to Thailand to enjoy his annual holidays with family and never went to any other place in India for any leisure travel. He told he enjoy coastal view and breathtaking views of beaches and waterfalls in Thailand and it always gives him mental peace and relaxation.
In conclusion, I would say that more people will go on travel abroad on holidays than going on holiday in their country due to international exposure, meeting new people , diverse cultures and traditions and many other factors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student presents a clear position throughout the essay, arguing that people will actually prefer travelling abroad rather than holidaying in their own country, which directly addresses the prompt. Main ideas are supported with reasons, such as cultural exploration, the desire for a break from routine, and psychological relief from work stress. However, there is a slight contradiction and confusion in the introduction where the student mentions the absence of visas and travel costs for domestic travel as points, yet concludes that international travel is preferred. Furthermore, the development could be extended further with more robust examples rather than a simple personal anecdote about a friend. Despite these minor limitations, the task is adequately addressed, satisfying the main requirements of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised, with distinct paragraphs dedicated to the main arguments and an example. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'In addition to that' and 'One of my friend' reveal some awkward transitions. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are not always used with precision. While the overall progression is discernible, the logical flow between sentences and paragraphs could be smoother and more sophisticated to reach higher band levels.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully communicating ideas relating to travel, culture, and stress relief. Phrases such as 'diverse cultural backgrounds', 'mental peace and relaxation', and 'international exposure' show a reasonable command of topic-specific vocabulary. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'more lively to travel abroad' (likely meaning 'more likely'), 'distract from their day to day life' (missing reflexive pronoun), and 'One of my friend' (grammatical noun error). Less common vocabulary is attempted with mixed success, placing this response firmly in the Band 6 territory.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in grammatical structures. Examples include subordinate clauses like 'The emphasis on international holidays is purely based on exploring different cultures and traditions which is normally not seen in their own country.' However, the text contains a frequent number of grammatical errors and slips, particularly in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'people in future will', 'A large number of people wants', 'Being in a new country give them', and 'He told he enjoy'. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the essay from achieving a higher score due to a lack of consistent accuracy across complex structures.
