Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, it can be assumed that instead of travelling to another nations, individuals prefer to explore their own country in their vaccation time.in my opinion, i agree with this statement because of some reasons which i will explain in upcoming paragarphs.

To begin with, people will travel in their own contry because it has a lot of benefits. firstly, it can be budget friendly for them. because when they travel in thrir own country , so it can be less expensive for them as compared to going to another country as it requires expensive mode of transportation. The second reason is why i agree with this is that it will not only enhnace their knowlwdge about their country but also they can know about diffrent culture of their nation. To explain it more, in this era childrens are becoming obessed with foregin country so they slowly forget their own country culture, so definetly,, i future parents try to teach their childrens about their own culture.

In addition to this, residenst wil explore their own country becuase it will put good affect in the economy of their country. for insatnce, when they travel in own redgion they will spend imoney which ahve direct affect on economy. Last but not least, this idea will save their time. such as if they travel to another countries ,so it will take long time to tarvel but on the other hand vistig to own country is less time consuming. so they can spend a lot of timr at their destination instead of travelling, so defiantly, they will choose their own country.

In conclusion, i am agree that in upcoming time, residents will choose to travel in their own nation because of some reasons. for instance, it will not only save their time but also enhnace their knowledge about own country as well as boost the economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by taking a clear position and providing reasons for agreeing that people will holiday in their own country in the future. The ideas are relevant and supported with explanations regarding budget, cultural awareness, economic impact, and time-saving benefits. For instance, the student notes that domestic travel 'can be budget friendly' and 'will put good affect in the economy.' However, some points are slightly repetitive or under-developed, falling short of the depth required for a Band 7. The progression is straightforward, but the support tends to generalise rather than explore concepts deeply. Therefore, a Band 6.0 is appropriate as the task is addressed adequately with relevant ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay has a recognizable overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, displaying a coherent overall arrangement. However, paragraphing and punctuation mechanics are weak; there are missing capital letters at the beginnings of sentences and after full stops, such as 'vaccation time.in my opinion' and 'country . so it can be'. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes mechanical or awkwardly linked, such as repeating 'the second reason is why i agree with this'. Referencing and logical progression are occasionally hindered by punctuation errors and run-on structures. These issues place the response firmly in Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student displays an adequate vocabulary range to communicate ideas about travel and tourism, using terms like 'budget friendly', 'transportation', 'culture', and 'economy'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'nations' instead of 'nation', 'vaccation', 'contry', 'enhnace', 'knowlwdge', 'diffrent', 'obessed', 'foregin', 'residenst', 'becuase', 'insatnce', 'redgion', 'imoney', 'ahve', 'affect' (instead of effect), 'vistig', 'timr', and 'defiantly' (instead of definitely). These errors indicate a limited control of spelling and collocation, though communication is generally maintained. This corresponds to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing subordinating conjunctions such as 'because', 'as', and 'when'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in capitalization, punctuation, and article usage, alongside awkward phrasing such as 'i am agree that' instead of 'i agree that'. Many sentences contain run-on structures or comma splices, for example, 'because when they travel in thrir own country , so it can be less expensive'. While meaning is rarely completely obscured, the frequency of basic errors prevents the response from achieving a higher band. A score of 5.0 accurately reflects this level of control.
