Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals believe in future several people prefer to visit various locations in their home country on holidays ratherthan going overseas. I personaly believe its good to choose home country as vacation spot when compare to foregin nations as it boosts the income of the country and develop our own nation.
To begin with, vacation is the only time where several people relax and enjoy there free time form their work life. During this time most people tend to spend only a feasible amount which for worthy and reasonable places. Moreover, under low budgets and friendly environment its always good to choose their home land as a holiday spot. For instance, when people visit overseas they spent lot of money on journey, accomodations and site seeing locations.where they face different language and cultural barriers, food problems etc. that are unsafe and new to them. This some times place them in trouble as well.
Significantly, when we choose our own country tourist locations there are many offers and discounts provided by Ministry of Tourism. The Tourism department has many registered safe tourist locations where they can safely guide people and ensure our journey to be smooth and happy. Such tourist locations generate the revenue which in turn used to develop our own nation and attract different tourists from world wide.Further more, it adds more benifits like gaining the knowledge of histroy, geography of our own country.
To conclude, not only visiting tourist locations in our own country develop the nation, but also sometimes promote "Unity in Diversity" among the people of that nation. we know most of the people are average salary holders, to make simple and budget friendly trip choosing their own country is the best suitable option.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position that more people will choose domestic holidays in the future, supporting this view with reasons such as economic benefits, lower costs, safety, and cultural understanding. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, although some points, such as cultural and language barriers, are somewhat generalized. The introduction clearly outlines the writer's stance, and the conclusion reinforces the main arguments. However, the development of ideas could be slightly more rigorous and detailed to reach the higher bands. Overall, the writer successfully covers all parts of the task with a clear, consistent position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is divided into four distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an adequate overall arrangement. Logical progression is generally maintained using cohesive markers such as 'To begin with', 'Significantly', and 'To conclude'. However, some cohesive devices feel slightly mechanical or are used inaccurately, such as starting a sentence with 'where they face different language and cultural barriers' without a proper anchor, or 'Further more' written as two words with a missing space after the comma. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, the pronoun 'they' occasionally creates ambiguity regarding whether it refers to tourists or the Ministry of Tourism. Paragraphing is used sufficiently.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'Ministry of Tourism', 'feasible amount', and 'Unity in Diversity'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('foregin', 'accomodations', 'site seeing', 'benifits', 'histroy') and word choice inaccuracies (e.g., 'spend only a feasible amount which for worthy and reasonable places'). While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the essay from achieving a higher lexical score. The use of phrases like 'average salary holders' is relevant, but overall precision and control over collocation are inconsistent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. Examples include 'Some individuals believe in future several people prefer...' and 'when people visit overseas they spent lot of money...'. There are several grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('in future', 'on holidays'), tense inconsistencies ('they spent'), and punctuation issues. Sentence boundary errors also occur, such as starting a clause with a relative adverb where a new sentence or semicolon is needed. Despite these frequent errors in complex structures, communication is rarely impeded, allowing the reader to follow the writer's arguments clearly.
