Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Traveling is the most popular activity in today's world. Some people believe that International trip can be replaced by local travel experience. I agreed with this statement because of some advantages and will discuss my viewpoint in upcoming paragraphs.
To begins with, traveling in own country is the lower cost. Domestic travel usually involve cheaper transportation, accommodation and families can save thier money and enjoy thier trip in good way. People can use their own cars, buses and local transportation to explore their own country. In additiopn to it, traveling in own country can save time because their is no need to apply for visa, spend so much time on international flights. For examples, Canadian people prefer to spend their summer vacation at different beaches, parks and do other activities in their own country rather than traveling.
Furthermore, social media is the main factor to increase the domestic travel. People use to post their experience ,posts and videos on the internet platforms and through that different people got attracted. Moreover, Government tried to built more national parks, tourist spots and more attractive things in their own town. Due to this, Employment can increase because of demand of worker at tourist places. Also, Ticket system at some palces can be invested in building more attractive places.
To Conclude with, Domestic traveling would be more helpful for everybody because they can explore their own country, food and culture and dress code. Rather then wasting money on international trip.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the task by expressing a clear position agreeing with the statement and providing relevant supporting ideas regarding cost, convenience, and tourism development. However, the ideas lack full extension and suffer from some sweeping generalisations. Furthermore, the response falls short of the word count requirement, containing only 246 words instead of the minimum 250 words, which incurs a minor penalty on Task Achievement. Despite this, the writer presents a clear overall position and supports it with examples such as Canadian tourism habits. To reach a higher band, the student should ensure sufficient word length and develop their supporting arguments with greater depth and specific detail. Band score: 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The text is structured into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at paragraphing. However, progression is sometimes hindered by abrupt transitions and mechanical cohesive devices, such as 'To begins with' and 'In additiopn to it'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical links between sentences lack smoothness. Paragraphing is used, but the conclusion is incomplete and phrased as a fragment rather than a fully formed sentence ('Rather then wasting money on international trip.'). While an overall arrangement is discernible, the faulty mechanical cohesion and awkward transitions prevent the response from achieving a higher band. Band score: 5.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'transportation', 'accommodation', and 'attracted'. However, there are numerous lexical and typographical errors throughout the response, including spelling mistakes ('additiopn', 'palces'), incorrect word forms ('International trip' instead of trips, 'the lower cost' instead of lower in cost), and minor collocation issues ('enjoy their trip in good way'). Despite these frequent slips, the vocabulary used is sufficient to convey the general message clearly to the reader without impeding overall communication. Band score: 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures with conditional and causal links. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and pluralisation (e.g., 'Domestic travel usually involve', 'thier money', 'their is no need', 'Government tried to built'). Punctuation is also flawed, particularly with sentence fragments in the conclusion. While some error-free simple sentences exist, the frequent errors in complex structures cause some difficulty for the reader and demonstrate limited control over grammar. Band score: 5.0.
