IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

In contemporary world, people are overburdened with work and to balance their life they prefer to go on holidays. Nowadays, working people choose abroad as holiday destination whereas in the upcoming time period there are chances that people would rather prefer to visit different cities of their own country. I am entirely in favor of this notion from the perspective of various ideas which would be mentioned in the upcoming paragraphs.

For ordinary middle-earner, affording the foreign travel expenses is huge like ticket prices, hotel expenses, commuting in abroad. Undoubtedly, out of family and peer pressure they make their plans out of their pocket. Accordingly, they have to confront with financial issues as well as emotional traumas. If they keep their affordability concerns on family table they would not have to deal with undesired outcomes. Similarly, having transparency with family members regarding the budget and considering travelling in own country would turn out as more viable for them.

Meanwhile, these days people are getting aware about the importance of money and how it should be earn and spend smarty is another reason of choosing own country over other countries for travelling. Significantly, the importance of keeping the youth in-touch with their roots in terms ofown culture, language, history is now visualising as matter to keep in high regard. As the lifes' are getting busier day-by-day, the parents want to familarise their offspring with their true identity which is hidden in cities, villages, coastal areas, mountains, historical places of own country.

The tranquility lies in being original and grounded. Furthermore, knowing the historical aspects of attaining freedom and emergence of different cultures within a single country such as India folded a confidence and pride of being aware of own roots.

Conclusively, as meditation is knowing inner self by closing eyes. Similarly, having knowledge of each and every part of own homecountry is equivalent of meditation. Due to awareness of spending money efficiently is also one of the reason to choose own country for holidays.
