Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is believe that most of individuals will not go to other nations and they will stay in their own country during their vacations in upcoming years.I am partly disagree with this statement due to some reasons, which i will explain in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are some reason why people will not go out of their country during holidays. The main reason is that,in thesedays most of companies offer their employee tour to other nations. As they mostly visit other countries in vacations,so because of this they will not only feel disconnect to their own culture but also from family, which will stop them to go.As a result, they will spend time either with their family or travel around their own county.

However,There are some reason behind visiting other nations when people have vacations.First and foremost, due to the infulence of social media. To explain it,in this modern era individuals watch social media like instagram,Youtube etc.where they see the vlogs, which shows them about other countries places and enviroment because of this they get excited to visit that place. Moreover, they want get more knowlegde and information. To justify it,when they travel other nations then they will not only learn about other culture but also they can make new connection, which help them in their business.for example, they can find any problem in that country and then find solution for that issues,as a result they can start business there.

In conclusion, people will stay in their country because they already visited other nations,so they have less interest in it,but a lot of them will go overseas because of social media effect and for getting more educations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The candidate addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear, albeit partially formulated, position ("I am partly disagree with this statement"). Relevant ideas are presented regarding both sides of the argument: staying in the home country due to company tours and cultural connection, versus travelling abroad driven by social media influence and business opportunities. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive in places, particularly in the conclusion where the argument shifts slightly. For instance, the reasoning about company tours causing employees to feel disconnected is underdeveloped. Overall, the response meets the baseline requirements for Task Achievement, earning a Band 6.0 as it addresses the prompt directly while offering relevant, though sometimes superficial, main points and support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing both perspectives, and finishing with a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. There are noticeable punctuation and spacing errors throughout the text, such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., "reasons, which i will" and "To begin with, there are some reason"). Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are used rather repetitively (e.g., starting multiple sentences with "To explain it," or "To justify it,"). While paragraphing is used structurally to separate ideas, the mechanical errors in cohesive punctuation place this response firmly at a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as "influence of social media" and "cultural connection." However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors that detract from the writing, including "infulence" instead of "influence," "enviroment" instead of "environment," and "knowlegde" instead of "knowledge." Word choice and collocation are also imprecise in places, such as "most of individuals" instead of "most individuals" or "want get more knowlegde." The range is minimally adequate to convey the intended meaning, but the frequent inaccuracies in spelling and word formation mean it does not fully achieve a higher band, resulting in a score of 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures (e.g., "when they travel other nations then they will not only learn..."). However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as "It is believe that" instead of "It is believed that," and missing prepositions like "travel other nations" instead of "travel to other nations." Punctuation errors are also pervasive, particularly run-on clauses and missing spaces after punctuation marks. Although communication is rarely completely impeded, the high frequency of basic structural and grammatical mistakes prevents the essay from reaching a Band 6.0, justifying a score of 5.0.
