IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, some people believe that in the upcoming years more and more people will choose their own country as their vacation destination rather than traveling internationally. I disagree with this statement and believe that it will be the opposite and people will prefere different countries to visit. I will elaborate my answer in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, with the help of technolgy and improved economy people would be able to travel different places. The barriers of laguage and cultures will not stop people from travelling abroad. For instance, process of visa will become faster with the help of technological innovation. There will be planty of mobile apps and gadgets to assist individuals to communicate in different languages without even learning it. In addition, with financial stability in future more families would be able to visit their nearby countries to spend holidays together.
Moreover, social media will play crucial role in upcoming future. Whenever some famous celebrity or influencer visits a new place their fans and followers visit too. To create contents and to meet their fans they travel different nations. Some people love to experice authentic taste of food, culture, different lanscaps and adventures. For instance, Switzerland is known for its picturesque view thousands of individuals travel every year to this country in their vacation. This will become more common in the future due to advancement in transportation system.
To conclude, stable world economy, innovative technology and convenient travel process will make it easy to travel various countries in the near future for everyone. There will be no limitation to stay in the same country to spend vacation.
