Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this era, where technology predominates the all sectors still human can't find time for self and family. Individuals working for the family nowadays prefer to spend quality time with their family in their own country rather than travelling long distance abroad for a vacation. I agree with this notion and can support my viewpoint with the relevant examples in the upcoming paragraphs.

Firstly, in this mordern world the majority work is undertaken by the machines and AI technology still individuals have to work and make sure eveything is going with the pace. People travel to different cities where they can work and earn decent amount to support their family and needs. For this sacrifice they leaving behind their kids, parents and most importantly their home where they lived for so long spent their chilhood and had memories associted and when they can find time they prefer to go to travel in their own country with their family and friends. For example, my brother who is working as IT specialist in Banglore city whenever he comes home for vacation to Ludhiana he always prefer stay home with parents and family make trips in own country to save time for travelling, which he believes that if we are going to another country for travel we waste most of time in travelling and having jet lag, which i also find a valid reason.

Moreover, exploring own country during holidays gives us a sense of self belonging to our own country and people can be gulit free in their life that they did'nt explore their own country. Most importantly it saves money and time to as compared to going to other country which can be a bit more expensive. For example, travelling tickets, staying and doing leisue activities in abroad can be bit expensive as compared to own's country and one can also feel proud that they are contributing in their country's economy in some way.

On the other hand, some individuals might prefer to travel abroad to explore new culture and interact with new people as well. They can learn a lot about the new and useful things they can implent in their workplace, country which might help a lot of people. For example, they can see that how the big companies in the abroad cities and managing the hybrid work culture where one can find time for own and family as well.

In the end, I fully agreed with the statement by provided relevant examples and believe that now adays people prefer to travel in their own country rather than going abroad for vacation to save time and money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task, presenting a clear position agreeing with the prompt from the introduction through to the conclusion. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as saving time, avoiding jet lag, reducing costs, and supporting the domestic economy, while a counterargument regarding exploring new cultures and hybrid work models is also considered. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others; for instance, the discussion on economic contribution and workplace inspiration lacks deeper extension. To move further up, the ideas could be explored with more nuanced reasoning and fully sustained arguments rather than relying on brief examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression throughout. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate main ideas, such as the benefits of domestic travel and the counter-perspective on international trips. Cohesive devices are employed to connect sentences, including transition markers like 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes a bit mechanical or repetitive in structure, and certain cohesive links feel slightly abrupt, which prevents the essay from achieving a more fluid organizational style.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'predominates', 'hybrid work culture', and 'contributing in their country's economy'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors like 'mordern', 'eveything', 'chilhood', 'associted', 'Banglore', 'gulit', and 'implent', alongside awkward word choices and collocations such as 'travelling tickets' instead of 'travel tickets' or 'fares'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips do not impede communication overall, reflecting a typical performance at this band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses. There are some grammatical errors in sentence structures, verb forms, and articles, such as missing prepositions or determiners (e.g., 'explore own country', 'saves money and time to as compared', 'doing leisue activities in abroad'), and run-on sentences like the long phrasing in the second paragraph. Nevertheless, these errors rarely impede communication, and punctuation is generally manageable, allowing the core meaning to remain clear to the reader throughout.
