Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both sides of the issue—traveling abroad versus staying in one's home country—and provides a clear position that the writer partially agrees with the statement. Relevant ideas are presented, such as the cultural benefits of going overseas and the economic impact of domestic tourism, fulfilling the core requirements. However, some ideas are noticeably under-developed or lack full explanation. For instance, the mention of GDP contributions and government tourism initiatives in India touches upon relevant economic arguments, but the development remains brief and generalized rather than thoroughly explored. To move towards a higher level, the writer should aim to expand on each main point with deeper explanations and more comprehensive supporting arguments rather than moving quickly between ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing different viewpoints, and a conclusion. There is a logical progression of ideas from discussing the merits of international travel to the counter-argument regarding domestic tourism development. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. Transitions between sentences and paragraphs occasionally feel abrupt, and referencing is not always clear, as seen in repetitive structures like 'diffrent diffrent' and basic connectors like 'Moreover' and 'However'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires smoother linking devices and better control of referencing to guide the reader seamlessly through the arguments. Greater precision in logical transitions and clearer paragraph boundaries would elevate this aspect.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for communicating the basic message, but the range is quite limited and contains numerous errors. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'paramount role' and 'economic income', but these are often marred by issues in word choice, collocation, and spelling, such as 'explor', 'forgen', 'parcialy', and 'cultur'. Spelling mistakes are frequent throughout the text, including words like 'devloping', 'turist', and 'counsider', which occasionally strain the reader's understanding. To improve in this criterion, the writer needs to expand their control of common and less-common lexical items, pay closer attention to word formation, and ensure accurate spelling for standard vocabulary related to travel and tourism.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to construct varied sentences, such as conditional or multi-clause structures. However, there are persistent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. These include missing or misused articles, problems with subject-verb agreement, incorrect prepositions, and faulty verb tenses, such as 'government start devloping' instead of started developing. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur regularly and prevent the response from achieving a higher level of accuracy. To progress, the writer should focus on strengthening basic grammatical foundations, ensuring correct tense consistency, and refining punctuation and sentence boundaries.
