Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is predicted that, a significant proportion of population will prefer to explore their own country on vacations instead of, visiting foreign countries. I strongly agree with this statement, as it will tourism more affordable and accessible. Additionally, the hourly travel would be reduced which would have positive effects on the overall environment.
In this contemporary era, everyone is living a hectic schedule which causes stress and burnout. To overcome this situation a large portion of individuals prefer to visit popular attractions which help them to relax and rejuvenate. The higher authorities are now investing a portion of budget on recreational points which attracts the public. Recently, many people will prefer to spend quality time with their families by spending a week or two in areas which provides both adventure and relaxation with in their own country. Consequently, the travel cost would become more affordable and within reach of every low income employer. For exapmle , people in Pakistan visits northern areas particularly in summer vacations as it provide a budget friendly tour which includes suitable accomodation and lower commuting costs.
In addition to it, travelling abroad requires high fuel costs which are out of reach for middle class families. Furthermore, the emissions which are released from the planes and through water transportion contributes towards the environmental degradation. When people visit their own country it will reduce the rate of emissions which consequently, would contribute to a healthy and sustainable environment. Furthermore, prefering home country will bring financial benefits in the form of tourism and the profits which would be earned through excessive tourists will be use for the prosperity of a country which would be advantageous for developing countries.
To conclude, the interest to explore native country will be benefical in a long run as people will get to explore their own regions would bring endless financial profits and reduced emissions and environmental profits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on why domestic holidays will become more popular. The main ideas, such as affordability, environmental benefits, and reduced travel time, are relevant and effectively introduced. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the discussion on environmental impact is extended into a cohesive argument about reduced emissions, whereas the explanation regarding low-income earners is slightly under-developed and relies on a single example. To reach a higher band, all main arguments would need equal extension, deeper analytical support, and more robust examples that avoid over-generalisation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear central stance stated in the introduction and maintained throughout. Paragraphing is utilised correctly to separate different arguments, with each body paragraph focusing on a distinct theme like cost, environment, and financial growth. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. Devices such as 'In addition to it', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' are somewhat repetitive and overused, while referencing links occasionally feel strained. Furthermore, logical progression between sentences could be smoother to ensure seamless information flow, reflecting characteristics typical of this band level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'rejuvenate', 'environmental degradation', and 'sustainable environment'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form, such as 'hourly travel' instead of travel time, 'excessive tourists' instead of increased tourist numbers, and spelling errors like 'exapmle' and 'accomodation'. These errors do not heavily impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score because precision and control are inconsistent. To improve, the writer should focus on natural collocations, accurate word forms, and careful proofreading to eliminate spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. There are, however, some errors in grammar and punctuation, including unnecessary commas (e.g., 'It is predicted that, a significant proportion'), subject-verb agreement issues ('people in Pakistan visits'), and awkward prepositions or article omissions ('with in their own country', 'low income employer'). Despite these persistent errors, they rarely impede communication, and the majority of simple structures are controlled well. To progress, the writer needs to enhance accuracy in complex sentence patterns and polish punctuation.
