Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is said that people will only pick their own nation to go on vacations in upcoming times, rather than visiting a foreign country. I strongly disgree with this statement. This essay will provides my reasons with relevant examples in upcoming paragraphs.

Obviously, there are numerous factors that describes the pros of travelling abroad on holidays. First and foremost, During foreign travel, people can get a fresh experience of a specific country, their customs, cuisines, lifesytle ,and language. Which will helps them to broaden their perspectives and knowledge. For example, having a canada's trip, allows individuals to know canadian's survivals in a harsh winter season and how they make it happen to work in minus degree celsius. Furthermore, travelling to different country helps person to get some change from their same everyday routine and expose them to new environment. Besides, it allows an opportunity to welcome challenges and stepping out from comfort zones.

On the other hand, visiting own country has its own benefits. Primarily, a person is familiar with the tourist destinations, language and food. Which provides them a comfort, security and belongingness. As a result, there is no stress about the unfamiliarity and confidence regarding the destination. Apart from it, Visiting own country is budget friendly option to enjoy quality time with loved ones rather than costly traveling expenses to abroad and speading on expensive living only for few days.

In conclusion, it is quite apparent from the above-mentioned information that only choosing own country for vacations everytime, is not ideal choice. If one can aford the expenses and able to face to challenges of visiting abroad, they should choose foreign destination on holidays.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that people will increasingly holiday only in their own country, and the conclusion maintains this view. You address both sides by discussing the experiences and challenges of overseas travel as well as the familiarity and lower cost of domestic holidays. The Canada example also gives one point some concrete support. However, the argument is not fully developed: the example focuses on coping with winter rather than clearly showing why this would lead more people to choose overseas holidays. The domestic-travel points are also listed more than explained, and the conclusion makes affordability and willingness to face challenges conditions without developing them. More specific explanation of why overseas travel will remain attractive would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for overseas and domestic travel, and a concluding statement. Signposting such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” helps readers follow the contrast. This gives the essay a coherent progression, though some linking is mechanical and connections between ideas are not always smooth. For example, “Which will helps them” is separated from the preceding sentence, while “Besides” introduces another benefit without showing how it relates to the previous point. The conclusion also repeats the contrast rather than drawing the main reasons together. To improve, connect each example directly to the claim it supports and use referencing and transitions more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “customs,” “cuisines,” “perspectives,” “comfort zones,” and “budget friendly,” so the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “belongingness” and “unfamiliarity.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make phrases awkward: “canadian's survivals,” “speading on expensive living,” and “visiting own country” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “disgree,” “lifesytle,” and “aford” also reduce control. Aim for precise, conventional combinations and check spelling; this would make your vocabulary more flexible and natural without changing your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “rather than” and “if,” and the main message remains understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to limit accuracy. For example, “This essay will provides” should use the base verb after “will,” and “factors that describes” has a subject–verb agreement error. The fragments “Which will helps them…” and “Which provides them…” should be joined to the preceding sentences, and “a person is familiar” does not agree naturally with the plural context. Review these patterns and punctuate complete sentences carefully. More consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control.
