Student answer (Band 6.0)

These days everybody loves to travel. People wait for the holidays to go on a vacation for somedays to relax themselves. Some people believes that in future individuals prefer to travel in their own domestic areas rather than travelling to foreign countries on holidays. I disagree with the view that people only choose to travel in their own country during holidays.

To begin with, people work so hard that they need a break from the same routine. In addition, children also wait for their summer break so that they can visit somewhere. They always prefer to travel to the new places not to the ones they have already visited in their home country. To illustrate, kids like to explore and demand to go to the places like Disney Land, beaches and many more which usually existed in the foreign countries. Due to all these consequences, people's curiosity to travel abroad is incraesing.

Moreover, these days people are travelling to abroad for work purposes. When they find any interseting place to visit, they always wanted to take their family on trip to such places. For example, some companies provide foreign trip packages which include family members as well. As if people get the opportunity to travel abroad, they will never refused to take such advantage.

To conclude, in future travelling abroad never decreasing. Infact, more and more people are becoming aware about the new places which they always like to travel during their vacation period. Children are also demanding foreign trips. They are also aware about the new places through their friends and school education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you disagree that future holidaymakers will increasingly stay in their own country, and the response remains focused on domestic versus overseas travel. You give relevant reasons, including curiosity about new destinations, children’s interest in visiting unfamiliar places, and work-related opportunities to travel abroad. The examples of company travel packages and children wanting to visit attractions help support your view. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the claim that children prefer foreign destinations is broad, and the link between work travel and future holiday choices could be made clearer. Develop each reason with a more specific explanation or example, and address the prediction in the prompt more directly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Moreover,” and a concluding paragraph. The ideas generally progress from people’s desire for a break to overseas travel opportunities, so the reader can follow the main argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “Due to all these consequences” does not accurately describe the preceding ideas, and “As if people get the opportunity” makes the relationship between the example and your claim difficult to follow. The conclusion also repeats the point about children without adding a final synthesis. Use linking phrases that express the precise relationship between ideas, and make references such as “these places” clearly identifiable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “routine,” “curiosity,” “explore,” and “opportunity,” and you attempt phrases such as “foreign trip packages.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “travel to abroad,” “relax themselves,” “take their family on trip,” and “travelling abroad never decreasing.” Spelling errors such as “incraesing” and “interseting” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main ideas, but they limit precision and naturalness. Build a bank of common travel collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing more exact phrases will help you express your argument with greater flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses such as “so that they can visit somewhere” and “When they find any interesting place to visit.” Most of the meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “Some people believes,” the incorrect verb form in “they will never refused,” and missing or incorrect articles in “on trip.” The sentence beginning “As if people get the opportunity” is also not formed correctly for the intended conditional meaning. Review agreement, articles, and conditional structures, and proofread verb forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentences easier to read.
