Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is predicted by some people that in the future many people will prioritize their own country to go on vaccation and neglect foriegn countries. I am pratially disagree with this statement, and the reasons for that will be discussed in the following paragraphs.

The main reason why people will choose their home country for travel is the development. Nowadays, many countries are offering services that were only available in certain countries such as sky diving and different foods. This is beacuse many will enjoy same facilites in their own nation and prefer to go on holidays within their country. This will also save their travel time and money.

Moreover, governments of many countries are encouraging people to support their economies by spending on within their boundries. The more people start spend on holidays inside their nations, the less people are likely to go overseas on vaccations. This will simultaneously reduce foreign travel and foreign expenses. For example, an individual can supports their local economy by choosing to go on holidays in their own country.

However, I believe a few number of people still choose overseas destinations to enhance their cultural knowledge. This is beacuse it is difficult to predict that people will completly stop to travel abroad to go on vacations. For instance, only by visting different places, people can experience traditional and cultural values.

In conclusion, I believe that in the future many people choose travel destinations in their own country because of accessible facilities and to support the local economy. However, a few number of people may go oversea to enhance their experiences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you partly disagree, recognising that domestic holidays may become more popular while some people will continue travelling abroad. You address both sides and give relevant reasons, including improved local facilities, economic support and cultural learning. This covers the task well. However, the development is uneven: the points about saving time and money and supporting the economy are asserted rather than explained in detail, and the example of an individual supporting the local economy largely repeats the preceding claim. To strengthen the response, explain more specifically why these factors will influence future choices and develop the contrast with overseas travel. This would make the ideas more fully supported while preserving your balanced position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two paragraphs explaining domestic travel, a contrasting paragraph about overseas holidays, and a conclusion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help show how the argument develops. The contrast between local economic benefits and cultural experiences abroad is particularly clear. Some connections are less smooth because ideas within paragraphs are sometimes repeated rather than extended—for example, the point about spending locally is restated in the example. You could improve cohesion by making each supporting sentence add a distinct explanation or illustration, and by using clearer references when moving from general claims to examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “cultural knowledge,” “traditional and cultural values,” “local economy,” and “overseas destinations.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some phrases show an attempt to use more precise language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “vaccation,” “foriegn,” “facilites,” and “boundries.” There are also awkward collocations or forms such as “spending on within their boundries” and “a few number of people,” which reduce naturalness. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships for travel and economics. More accurate, natural phrasing would make your vocabulary more effective without requiring unnecessarily advanced words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “services that were only available in certain countries” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Most sentences remain understandable, so grammatical errors rarely prevent the reader from following your argument. Some errors in verb forms, agreement and sentence construction persist. For example, “I am pratially disagree” should use the adverb with the verb “disagree,” while “an individual can supports” has an incorrect verb form after “can.” In “The more people start spend,” the verb pattern is also inaccurate. Review modal verbs, verb patterns after “start,” and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for these patterns.
