Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people will choose to go to their own country on holiday, And some people think about they will choose to go to abroad on holiday, I am agree with that the people will choose to go their own country to travel, Because there are some advantages I have to discussing about you.
Fristly, If people are choose to go in their country ,So people can travel easily and aslo its cheaper for them. Beacuse if they want to go their same country like Ottawa , Vancuver, Toronto, So they can travel easily because they known about the transportation. Secondly, they are comfortable with their language and as well as culture. Moreover, they can meet their own family and friends and they known about the festivals like how they can celebrate in their country with family. For instance, Them biggest festival is diwali So pepole knows about their region how they celebrate like they are go in the temple in the morning and meet their friends and families with togetger,They are enjoy lots of with the family.
On the other hand, If people are celebrate holiday in abroad so they have to travel by flight, So it is very expensive for them. But they can learn about their cullture , language, food, festivals like how can they celebrate. And as well as they learn about the clothes what type of clothes the were.
In conclusion, I am agree with that if the people are go to their own country its very comfortable for them. And they can celebrates them festival with the family. And if they are go to abroad its Diffrent culture for them.So they are not celerate the holiday perfectly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall preference for holidays in one’s own country and provide relevant reasons, including lower cost, familiar transport, language and culture, and time with family. The Diwali example adds some specific support. However, the position is not consistently expressed: the opening contrasts two choices without clearly stating your view, and the conclusion says domestic travel is more comfortable but does not fully explain why this outweighs the benefits of travelling abroad. The opposing view is mentioned—learning about another culture, food and clothing—but is not developed or directly weighed against your reasons. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly from the beginning and explain each main reason with a fuller example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting domestic holidays, a paragraph acknowledging international travel, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within sentences and between ideas is often difficult to follow, and connectors are sometimes used mechanically or inaccurately, as in “So people can travel easily” and “But they can learn about their cullture.” The Diwali example is crowded into one long sequence, while the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use shorter, clearly separated sentences and make each paragraph develop one central point in a logical order.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “expensive,” “comfortable,” “transportation,” “festivals,” and “culture,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “family,” “celebrate,” and “go.” There are also frequent spelling and word-choice problems, such as “Fristly,” “Vancuver,” “cullture,” and “they known about the transportation.” Some expressions are difficult to interpret, including “They are enjoy lots of with the family.” Build a wider set of accurate travel-related phrases and check spelling carefully. Prefer natural combinations such as “travel within their country,” “be familiar with local customs,” and “celebrate festivals with relatives.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas using clauses with “because,” “if,” and “so,” and you include both simple and longer sentences. However, control is inconsistent: many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction, which sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “I am agree,” “If people are choose,” “they known,” and “they can celebrates.” Several sentences also run together, particularly the Diwali example, and capitalisation and punctuation are unreliable. Practise forming straightforward subject–verb sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. For example, write “If people travel within their country, they can use familiar transport” and “They can celebrate festivals with their families.”
