Student answer (Band 5.5)

Holidays are very essential part for a person's life. As it is a reason for all of us to give a break to our busy life. But it is a debatable concept in today's date to go aborad or stay in their country for vacations. Where lots of people choose to spent time in their countru only instead of going abroad. Further we will discuss about pros and cons for choosing to stay in their native country instead of going foreign.

Lets talk about pros. According to me, it will be easy to travel within the country for vacations without doing long prepration suchas :- changing of currency, choosing the location to stay, and the biggest thing is communication. As if we travel within country we dont need any suggestions or researches about the places to travel we can just simply plan and go and enjoy. Where as, if we go to abroad we need to work alot for it and it will take long arrival time. and by any chance if we need any emergency for anything it will be hard to solve it as every country have different rule, regulations and lifetstyles for which we need time to adjust in the new enviornment and there will chances to suffer more if we dont have any guidence in new place.

On the other hand, if we talk about cons of chooing own country will be that we will get the less chance to explore more. As if we travel outside the country for vacations we got to know more about the new culture which we can also adapt in our lifestyle by getting new inspiration. That is the great chance to grow our knowledge more about different countries their history, their ligfestyle and many other things.

At the very end, in conclusion, i will say it will be a good option to go abroad for vacations as it will be a chance to go out of a book if we just roam in a one circle it will get started boaring because within a country 70% of things atre almost same where abroad will give you a different vibe as well new ideas to aaply in your own life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the topic by discussing advantages of domestic holidays and the benefits of travelling abroad, and your conclusion makes your preference for overseas travel clear. However, the task asks whether you agree or disagree with the prediction that more people will holiday in their own country in the future. Your response mainly compares the pros and cons of each choice, without directly evaluating whether this future trend is likely or stating your position clearly from the beginning. Several points, such as easier planning at home and learning about other cultures abroad, are relevant but remain general and are not supported with specific examples. To strengthen the response, answer the prediction directly and explain why the trend will or will not occur, using developed reasons or an example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on domestic travel, a contrasting paragraph on international travel, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the other hand” helps readers follow the shift in viewpoint. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated framing such as “if we talk about” and “As if,” and some links between sentences are unclear. For example, the opening moves from the value of holidays to a debate about destinations without clearly introducing your position. The conclusion also repeats the comparison rather than drawing together the reasons. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to your central answer; this would make the organisation more consistently logical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “currency,” “communication,” “culture,” “history,” and “environment.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “emergency” and “different regulations.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “aborad,” “prepration,” “lifetstyles,” and “boaring.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “go out of a book” and “a different vibe,” while “70% of things are almost same” is imprecise. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural collocations for travel and cultural experiences. Replacing informal or unclear expressions with precise wording would make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “if” and “as,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries occur frequently. For example, “Holidays are very essential part” needs an article, while “every country have” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening fragment, “As it is a reason…,” is not a complete sentence, and the long sentence beginning “According to me” contains several ideas joined without clear punctuation. Practise writing complete sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check articles, plural forms, and agreement when editing.
