In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is opine that instead of foreign trips, people will consider travelling in their own country for holidays. I disagree on a huge extend, and int he forthcoming paragraphs, I have discussed the reasons for this situation with relevant justification.
Considering the first reason, increasing travelling facilities have made any holiday trip more comfirtable and stress free. Nowadays, commuting become more easier due to availabilities of better alternative of transports such as flights, reducing travelling time and connecting foriegn destinations more accisible. Moreover, technical applications like makeMyTrip, Goibibo provides features like structuring whole planout of the trip and also suggestions for preferable restaurents. Besides, a device called lingoTranslator has contributed paramount by mitigating language barrier.
Although travelling abroad costs more, people do not want to miss "once in a life time experience". Younger generation want to live beyond any limitations, breaking the quagmire cycle of the family tradition of earning and saving for future generation and emergencies such as medical or any financial breakdowns. Many couples make a bucket list of foreign destination and start their journey at younger age to visit each and every countries before turning adults.
To conclude, it is a myth that people will select their own country rather than other outside places as a holiday destination. Commuting facilities has made peoples journey time effective and relaxed. In addition, younger generation keen to follow their interests, crossing any bounderies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you disagree that domestic holidays will become more popular than overseas trips, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including improved transport and booking technology, language-translation tools, and the appeal of memorable experiences for younger travellers. However, the discussion of younger people’s motivations is less fully explained, and the claim that couples visit every country before adulthood is broad and unsupported. The response is also 17 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop examples and explain how each reason supports your position. Add a specific example and extend the explanation of your main points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from travel convenience to the desire for new experiences is logical, and signposts such as “Considering the first reason,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. To make the organisation more polished, avoid formulaic transitions and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a clear sequence. For example, the second body paragraph moves from cost to family saving habits and then to couples’ travel plans without fully connecting these ideas. More explicit links between claims and examples would strengthen cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “language barrier,” “bucket list,” “foreign destinations,” and “mitigating,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural choices that reduce precision, such as “more easier,” “paramount” in the context of a translation device, and “crossing any boundaries.” Spelling errors—including “comfirtable,” “foriegn,” and “restaurents”—are noticeable, while phrases such as “quagmire cycle” do not express the intended idea naturally. This range is adequate for the topic, but less common vocabulary is not yet controlled consistently. Prefer accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause in “Although travelling abroad costs more” and a participial phrase in “reducing travelling time.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “commuting become” needs subject–verb agreement, “Younger generation want” needs an article and a singular verb, and “Many couples … start their journey … to visit each and every countries” has a plural-form error. The opening phrase “It is opine” is also not grammatically formed. Work on agreement, articles, and plural nouns, and proofread sentence patterns. Greater accuracy across these structures would make the argument easier to read.
