Student answer (Band 5.0)
In future people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroud.
I myself agree on that matter as of these following points im going to discuss.
when traveling in your own country when you meet with foreign people you know your country well to share some of the nice places to visit. When it comes to expenses you do not have to worry about changing your money because of the currency nor swapping your sim card to get cellphone reception. You get to learn the roads and towns as well and see plases you might visit next time. You meet people that have the same intrests as you and might show you a few secret spots.
For exaple I have gone to australia a while ago an that was a never forgetting experience. we flew for the first time that far and would never recommend that to anyone else, the flight was 12 hours and you have very limited space to move around. When going to the toilet you need to climb over the person sitting next to you. The food was actually not bad and the drinks were nice. At the airport things whent smooth when we got oure bags and pass border control. When we checked in at our hotel we met with some people from lesotho who were pleasant and offered us to join them for lunch as we came from the same country. We had to use cash to pay for oure meal and then we noticed we did not have enough cash for the food so we had to use oure card for the payment.
That is why i don't whant to leave my own country for a holiday is for the amount of cash you have to travle with, things are to expensive, you travle for a long time uncomfortably and it cost a lot of money.
Thank you for the opportunity to discuss my opinion with you.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear preference for holidays at home and give relevant reasons, including avoiding currency exchange and long, uncomfortable flights. The Australia trip provides a personal example, and the account of meeting people from Lesotho adds detail. However, the response only partly develops the question’s prediction about what more people will choose in the future: most of the discussion explains why you personally prefer domestic travel. The example also focuses heavily on the flight and payment difficulties, with limited explanation of how these experiences support a broader trend. To strengthen the response, explain why these factors may influence more travellers and develop the comparison between domestic and overseas holidays. The 14 words copied from the task prompt are excluded from the reported count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable sequence: an opening position, reasons, a personal example, and a concluding statement. The Australia paragraph gives the reader a concrete account, and phrases such as “For example” and “That is why” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear. The opening sentence repeats the prompt, and the second paragraph combines several separate reasons without grouping or explaining their connections. The long travel anecdote also shifts between the flight, airport, hotel, and meal, making the central argument harder to follow. Use separate paragraphs for the main reasons and the example, and connect each detail explicitly to your position. A more focused conclusion would also avoid introducing a list that repeats earlier points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “currency,” “cellphone reception,” “secret spots,” and “pass border control.” The personal details make the account understandable, and some phrases show an attempt to be specific. However, the range is limited and several choices or spellings reduce accuracy and fluency, such as “abroud,” “plases,” “intrests,” and “whant.” Some expressions are also awkward or imprecise: “never forgetting experience” and “things are to expensive” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim to check spelling carefully and choose more precise collocations. For example, describe the trip as “a memorable experience” and say that overseas travel “can be costly,” rather than relying on repeated references to things being expensive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional idea about meeting foreign visitors and a sequence describing your trip. This shows some willingness to use more than basic sentence patterns. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. For example, “I agree on that matter as of these following points im going to discuss” has faulty sentence construction and punctuation, while “when you meet with foreign people you know your country well” lacks clear grammatical links between its ideas. There are also problems with tense, articles, and sentence boundaries, as in “I have gone to australia a while ago an that was…” Practise building accurate complex sentences and proofreading capitals, commas, and full stops.
