Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays growing world many individuals argue that people will choose to go on a holiday in their own country rather than other, However this can be true but according to me this change is unlikely to take place because, People like varities whether its culture, weather, or people. Small countires like Sweden, Denmark and many other have similar type of environment acorss country, so people do not have much to explore. So the only option left them is to go out and explore more countries and places. Moreover, many countries do not have mountains, beaches or greenry environment so this make people to go out and visit different nations.
However, staying in own country during holidays can also be seen as nowdays goverment across countries promoting their toursim for their own people which can help not only people but the entire countrys economy, as people will come and spend withtin the borders and such money can help country to build more infrastructure for tourism. Going forward diverse countries like Canada have so much variety which allows people to enjoy different envioment. Going further, money also plays the vital role in this as travelling from one country to another asks for a lot of money whether it is ticket prices, hotel rooms exhaching currency and many other factors and if a person does not have much knowledge about that purticular country they might end up getting scammed by locals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you disagree that domestic holidays will become more popular, arguing that people seek variety and that travel costs can make overseas trips difficult. You also acknowledge the opposing view by noting that domestic tourism can support the economy, so the response addresses both sides of the question. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: the examples of Sweden and Denmark do not show why people generally will avoid domestic holidays, and the point about scams is not clearly connected to your overall position. The response is also 11 words below the required minimum. Develop each main reason with a specific example and explain how it supports your view to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: the opening states your view, the first section gives reasons for travelling abroad, and the later section recognises benefits of domestic tourism. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “Going forward” help signal relationships between ideas. Nevertheless, the response does not progress consistently from one paragraph to the next, and the second section combines domestic tourism’s economic benefits, Canada’s variety, and the cost and risk of international travel without making their connections clear. Some transitions, especially “Going forward” and “Going further,” are repetitive or do not accurately signal the next point. Use distinct paragraphs for each side, then connect each reason explicitly to your position and finish with a brief conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “variety,” “environment,” “infrastructure,” and “economy,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable throughout, for example “varities,” “greenry environment,” “asks for a lot of money,” and “exhaching currency.” These reduce clarity and make the vocabulary less controlled. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly references to going out to “explore” or “visit” places. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for tourism and travel. More precise phrases such as “travel expenses” and “local attractions” would help express your ideas clearly and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a conditional idea about visitors being scammed. However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow because punctuation and clause boundaries are not controlled consistently. For example, the opening joins several clauses with commas, and “this make people to go out” has errors in subject–verb agreement and verb pattern. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction, as in “staying in own country” and “many other have.” These recurring errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
