In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?

Student answer (Band 7.0)
Nowadays, international travel has become increasingly common, but i believe that in the future more people perfer to spend their holidays in their own countries. this is mainly beacuse domestic holidays are more comfertable , affordable , less stressfull and can also help support the local economy.
th first reason why people may choose domestic tourism is rising cost of international travel. flights, hotel booking, travel insurance and visa fees can make holidays abroad very expensive. i contrast, travelling with in one's own country allows people to save money by driving , take bus or stay with relatives. for emaple, a canadian family could enjou a few days in Toronto or visit national parks without spending large amount on overseas flights. as a result, domestic holidays may become a more parctical option for people with limited budgets.
another important reason is convenience. travelling abroad often requires considerable perparations, inculding obtaing travel documents, exchange currency and learnig about local customs. Domestic travellers generally face fewer difficulties and can communicate easily in their own language. futhermore, choosing local destinational benefits samll businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and tour operators. when people spend their money locally, they help create jobs and strenghten the national economy.
admittedly , international travel offers opporunities to experience different culture and visit famous landmarks. however, not everyone can afford such trips, and many countries have beautiful landscape, historic places, and cultural attraction of their own. therefore, people can still enjoy memorble holiodays without crossing international borders.
In conclusion, i strongly agree that domestic tourism will become more popular in the future because it is generally cheaper, more convenient and beneficial to local communities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I believe” domestic holidays will become more popular—and is maintained in the conclusion. You address the question directly and support your view with relevant reasons: cost, convenience, and benefits to local businesses. The Canadian family example makes the affordability point more concrete, while the paragraph acknowledging international travel shows awareness of the opposing view. The main ideas are extended sufficiently to make the response persuasive. To strengthen the development further, explain more specifically why these factors are likely to influence future choices, rather than relying on broad claims such as “not everyone can afford such trips.”
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear four-part structure, with an introduction, two reason-focused paragraphs, a concession, and a conclusion. Ideas progress logically from cost to convenience and local economic benefits, and signposts such as “another important reason,” “admittedly,” and “in conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This is a coherent progression throughout. Some linking is a little formulaic, however, and the third paragraph moves from travel preparation to support for small businesses without fully explaining the connection. Use transitions that show the relationship between ideas more precisely, and connect the economic point to the convenience argument or give it a clearer separate focus.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “domestic tourism,” “travel insurance,” “local customs,” and “national economy.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and attempts at more specific language are evident. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms occur often enough to limit precision, for example “perfer,” “comfertable,” “perparations,” and “destinational.” Some phrasing is also less natural, such as “stay with relatives” in the list of ways to save money and “beautiful landscape” when referring to multiple places. Proofread carefully and learn common travel-related collocations so that your vocabulary is not only relevant but consistently accurate and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and tour operators” and a concession beginning “although” in the final body paragraph. Most ideas remain understandable, and the response shows some control of sentence boundaries. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly in verb forms and sentence construction: “allows people to save money by driving, take bus or stay” should keep the forms parallel, and “including obtaining travel documents, exchange currency and learning” also needs consistent forms. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, especially at sentence beginnings. Check parallel structures, articles, and sentence-initial capitals to improve accuracy while retaining your varied sentence patterns.
