Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

Your opening gives a recognisable position: “i personally feel more inclined” towards people who travel abroad, so the reader can identify your general disagreement with the prediction. However, the response stops before developing that position or giving a complete reason or relevant example. The unfinished phrase “due to inflamation who are” leaves the first supporting point unclear, and there is no explanation of why overseas holidays will remain preferable. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum, so the task is addressed only minimally. To improve, state your view clearly, develop at least two relevant reasons, and support them with specific examples before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening introduces the topic and your opinion, followed by a paragraph beginning “To initiate”. The linking expressions “firstly” and “due to” also show an effort to connect ideas. However, the response ends mid-sentence, so there is no completed supporting paragraph, progression of ideas, or conclusion. The opening’s contrast between domestic and overseas travel is not carried through into a developed argument, and “To initiate, firstly” uses two signals for the same function. Build a clear sequence—position, reason, explanation or example, and conclusion—and use one appropriate transition at a time.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “travel abroad”, “holidays overseas”, “prefer” and “inflamation”, which indicates an attempt to discuss travel choices and costs. There is also some variation in how you refer to international travel. However, the range is very limited in this short response, and several choices are inaccurate or awkward: “ongoing debate that whether” and “more inclined with the individuals” do not express the intended meaning naturally. “Inflamation” is also misspelled, and the unfinished phrase prevents the reader from understanding the point. Aim for accurate collocations such as “an ongoing debate about whether” and “I agree more with those who”, and use precise vocabulary to explain your reasons.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts a complex opening clause with “whether” and a contrast using “or”, and the basic meaning of your position can be understood. However, grammatical control is inconsistent even in these short sentences. For example, “it is ongoing debate that whether” is missing an article and has an incorrect clause pattern; “people will less likely to travel” lacks the verb form needed after “will”; and “i personally feel” needs a capital letter. The second sentence is incomplete, ending with “who are”, so its structure and meaning cannot be followed. Practise complete sentence patterns, especially modal verbs and embedded questions, and check articles, capitalisation, and sentence completion.
