Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this today's world every person has their own choice to travel or buying things etc, you cant say anything to anyone. Lot of people travels every year in different-different cities, countries etc just to explore and see new things like:- Indian people visit Canada, China, England etc why because of different cultural, job opportunities, advanced technologies.
According to my perspective, i don't agree with that people chooses to travel their own country rather than abroad. why? If a person likes to travel different places it simply means that someday he or she will explore different countires for enjoyment or to see how other country people lives.....they love to see their lifestyle and recorded in their cameras for making memories like:- Lot of youtubers visited India for the enjoyment and discover new-new states, cities, which is not same like their home country. They love to eat different cuisine, street side foods which you cant make it in foregin country.
On the other side of the mirror some people prefer to travel their own country because of lot of reasons like:- Budget issues, Language barriers etc. They dont feel comfortable with that environement which is more focusing on work instead of enjoying. They feel that their home country is more beautiful and have attractive sceneries, places, people, food etc. For example;- Lot of Indian old parents dont like to stay in foreign countires for too long because they cant speak english language, they dont go to clubs, pubs etc in their whole life. The weather conditions is not good for them.
so if i say that people prefer to travel their home country rather than outside, i think its not right, if they want something new in their life they have to visit outside of their country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear disagreement with the prediction, stating that people who want new experiences will travel abroad, and you also acknowledge why others may choose domestic holidays. The examples about Indian visitors and older parents help make the discussion relevant. However, the main argument is not fully developed: cultural differences and new experiences are mentioned, but the response does not explain in detail why these factors will outweigh reasons to holiday at home in the future. Some points, such as job opportunities and advanced technology, are introduced without being clearly connected to holiday choices. Develop each reason with a fuller explanation and a specific example to make your position more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting overseas travel, a contrasting paragraph about domestic travel, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction understandable. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and linking phrases such as “why?” and “On the other side of the mirror” feel mechanical or unclear. The conclusion repeats the position but does not draw together the reasons. Some examples are also joined to several different points in long sentences, making relationships between ideas less clear. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main point, connect examples directly to that point, and choose straightforward transitions such as “However” or “For example.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural,” “language barriers,” “lifestyle,” and “weather conditions,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, such as “new-new states,” “different-different cities,” and “for the enjoyment.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “countires,” “foregin,” and “environement,” which can distract the reader. Aim for more precise travel-related collocations and avoid informal or awkward phrasing. For instance, describe people as “exploring unfamiliar destinations” or “experiencing local cuisine,” rather than relying on repeated forms of “new” and “different.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person likes to travel different places” and a contrast between domestic and overseas preferences. However, the range is limited, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “Lot of people travels,” “people chooses,” and “how other country people lives.” Some sentences also run together, while punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating complete ideas into sentences. For example, “Many people travel each year” and “They want to see how people in other countries live” would express your ideas more clearly.
