Student answer (Band 5.5)
holiday is an important foor everyone. its keeps us fresh. when you worked whole week and you are tired and finally the weekend come and you have a time for your family and youself. going outside with the family is the best thing beacuse you and your family have a time to spend together .
i think that many people go to their own country rather then abroad because going to abroad need alot of money and not everyone can afford it. its quite expensives also you need more holidays to go to another country, going abroad first you apply for visas then book your tickets and hotels its quite lenghty procedure not everyone have a time to foolow that.
in my country many people went to notheren areas with family when they have a holidays. especially when summer many peope from urban areas move to te naran and kaghan and other places beacause weather is too good here and you have a natural beauty and you see a mountains and if you want to hiking its also best for you you also explore the culture of that areas which is different from other provinces also you find a good hotel here and when you wake up in the morning you saw birds are flying and sunrise from mountains and that was the beautiful moments.
in conclusion domestic travel will become more popular in future due to cost and convenient.. Nevertheless, international travel will continue to appeal to people who want to experience different cultures and explore destinations that cannot be found in their own countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you expect domestic holidays to become more popular, mainly because they cost less and are easier to arrange. The examples about families visiting Naran and Kaghan, enjoying the scenery, and experiencing local culture make the response relevant and give it a personal context. You also acknowledge that international travel will remain attractive to people seeking different cultures, which helps address the question in a balanced way. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that overseas trips require more time could be linked more clearly to why this will change future choices. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall structure: it introduces the value of holidays, gives reasons for choosing domestic travel, provides a local example, and ends with a conclusion. The progression from cost and planning to the Naran and Kaghan example is generally understandable. However, several ideas are crowded into long sentences, especially the description of travel arrangements and the final paragraph about the mountains. This makes relationships between points less clear. Linking phrases such as “for example” and “as a result” could clarify how evidence supports your position, while full stops would help separate distinct ideas. Keep each paragraph focused on one main purpose and use pronouns carefully so references remain clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “afford,” “visas,” “explore the culture,” “natural beauty,” and “destinations.” These choices help communicate your reasons and the appeal of local travel. There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “sunrise from mountains,” though some combinations are not natural or precise. Spelling and word-form errors, including “expensives,” “lenghty,” and “beacause,” are noticeable and sometimes distract the reader. Some wording is repetitive, particularly “you” and “good,” and phrases such as “going to abroad” are not idiomatic. Build a wider set of accurate travel collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the response communicates its main ideas despite some grammatical errors. For instance, the opening uses a time clause and a sequence of events, while the travel paragraph includes reasons and examples. However, control is uneven: “its keeps us fresh” has an agreement error, and “when they have a holidays” has an article and plural error. Tense shifts also occur in “many people went” and “you saw birds,” where the surrounding discussion is general or future-oriented. Several sentences run together without clear punctuation, making their structure difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent tense, and divide long sentences into shorter, complete units.
