Student answer (Band 5.5)

IN FUTURE,FOLKS WILL CHOOSE NATION FOR HOLIDAYS RATHER THAN INTERNATIONAL TRIP . I STRONGLY DISAGREE THIS STATEMENT .

TO START WITH,PEOPLE THINK TO VISIT A NEW NATION IS MORE ADVENTURE RATHER THAN THERE OWN COUNTRY. FOR EXAMPLE,MY FATHER WENT TO DUBAI FOR A BUSINESS TRIP ,WHEN HE CAME BACK ,HE GET A IDEA HOW POEPLE IN ABROAD STAYS AND WHAT THERE DAILY LIFE IS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY . AND EVEN I FIND THIS A BETTER OPTION THEN STAYING IN THE SAME COUNTRY FOR HOLIDAYS.IN ADDITION TO THIS, WHEN YOU VISIT A DIFFERENT COUNTRY YOU COME ACROSS LOTS OF STUFF THAT YOU HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE.FOR INSTANCE , DRIVING RULES IN THE DUBAI IS DIFFERENT THEN INDIA WHICH I HAVE HEARD BEFORE BUT NEVER SEEN SO , ITS BETTER TO GET MORE KNOWLEGDE REGARDING DIFFERENT COUNTRY.

TO ADD WITH THIS , TEENAGER ARE MORE FOND OF GOING ABROAD AS NOW ADAYS THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLETION BETWEEN THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILYS , FOR EXAMPLE, A FRIEND OF MINE WHEN TO U.S.A FOR HOLIDAYS IN DIWALI WHICH MAKE ME THOUGHT THAT RATHER THEN STAYING HOME ON FESTIVAL ITS BETTER TO EXPLORE WORLD AS YOU CAN MULTIPLE MEMORIES AND YOU MAY LEARN THINGS WHICH YOU MIGHT HAVE NEVER LEARNED BEFORE.THINGING TO THIS COMES IN MIND THAT YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO EXPLORE YOUR COUNTRY WHENEVER YOU WANT TO AS YOU WONT NEED VISA TO GO THERE,BUT ABROAD ALL IT IS ABOUT APPLYING FOR VISA AND GETTING APPROVED .THIS DAYS, FOLKS ARE ALSO BEHIND GETTING MORE VISA STAMP ON THEIR PASSPORT AS THEY WANTS TO BECOME TRAVELLLERS IN FUTURE.

THIS IS MY VIEWPOINT ON PEOPLE WILL GO ON INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL ON HOLIDAYS THEN NATIONAL TRAVEL.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening—“I strongly disagree”—and the response stays focused on why people may prefer overseas holidays. You give relevant reasons, including experiencing another culture, seeing different driving rules, and the appeal of travel among teenagers, with personal examples involving Dubai and the USA. This addresses the task, but some points are not fully explained: your father’s business trip does not clearly show why future holiday choices will change, and the claim about competition among friends and families needs more support. The conclusion restates your view but does not draw the main reasons together. Develop each reason with a clearer link to the prediction in the question and explain how your examples support it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable structure: an introduction, two main sections of supporting ideas, and a concluding statement. Connectors such as “To start with,” “In addition,” and “For instance” help signal examples and additions. However, progression within the long body paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, as several distinct ideas are joined together without clear breaks. The transition from teenagers’ travel preferences to visas and passport stamps is abrupt, and phrases such as “To add with this” and “Thinghing to this comes in mind” do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and make each topic sentence establish the point that the following example will support.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to travel and cultural experience, including “business trip,” “daily life,” “driving rules,” “visa,” and “passport.” These choices make your main topic understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or informal expressions make meaning less precise, such as “get a idea,” “a lot of completion,” and “get more knowledge regarding different country.” Spelling errors—including “poeple,” “knowlegde,” and “travelllers”—also distract the reader. Aim for more accurate travel-related collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe learning about “local customs and lifestyles” or say that young people feel “social pressure to keep up with their peers,” rather than relying on broad phrases such as “lots of stuff.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “which,” and “as,” so there is some variety. However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. Examples include “when he came back, he get a idea,” “teenager are,” and “which make me thought.” Several sentences run together, particularly the section beginning “A friend of mine when to U.S.A,” making the relationships between clauses unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a correctly formed supporting clause. Check subject–verb agreement, past-tense forms, and articles, and use full stops to separate complete thoughts.
