Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the future, vast population would prefer spending their vacation in their own country, rather than traveling oversea for holiday. Conversely, In this essay, I will disagree that more people would prefer spending holiday in their country. In my view, spending vacation abroad has a lot of significant benefits, like exploring other country's culture and landscape, and most people enjoy travelling for tourism and vacation.
Admittedly, spending holiday in your own country is cost effective, and would minimised travel stress. In contrast, travling abroad for vacation allow people to experience different culture, traditiion, landscape, food and lifestyle. For instance, I was opportuned to spend six months in Norway, for an official assignment, with all expenses paid. However, I was occupied during working days and had my weekend off. Consequently, the working system was flexible, allowing me to utilise my weekend exploring the culture and life-style of the Norwageans.
Secondly, Another great benefit is tourism and relaxation. People travel to explore beautiful destination, enjoy holidays, and escape from their daily routine. During my time in Norway, it was easy to visit other neighboring counties because of my visa. It was easy to visit Sweden from Norway via the ferry. I embraced that opportunity, and visited Sweden twice. I would'nt have seen Sweden If I had no trip to Norway, and it was possible due to more off time during weekends.
In conclusion, from the above discussion, you would agree with me that, spending holiday abroad widen my experience about the world and my job. Therefore, my essay has given significant reason that, the benefit of having your holday oveasea outweigh the dimerits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree that people will increasingly holiday at home, and you give relevant reasons, including cultural discovery and relaxation. The Norway and Sweden examples make the argument personal and help illustrate the benefits of overseas travel. However, the response develops these points unevenly. The first body paragraph explains cultural experience, while the second largely repeats the idea of visiting destinations and adds limited explanation of why this trend will continue in the future. The conclusion also shifts to the benefits for “my experience” and “my job,” rather than directly summarising why more people will choose foreign holidays. Develop each reason with a clearer link to the question’s prediction and support it with more general reasoning as well as personal experience.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas are generally easy to follow. Examples are placed alongside the points they support. However, progression is sometimes weakened by mechanical or awkward transitions: “Conversely” does not clearly connect the opening prediction to your disagreement, and “Secondly, Another” is redundant. The contrast marker “In contrast” also introduces a point that is not a direct contrast with the preceding sentence. Some references are unclear, particularly “that opportunity” and the conclusion’s “my job.” Use linking expressions according to the precise relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph’s topic sentence state its main reason before developing it.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “cost effective,” “flexible,” “exploring the culture,” and “daily routine.” These choices allow you to communicate your main ideas, and attempts such as “significant benefits” show some range beyond basic wording. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “travling,” “traditiion,” “Norwageans,” “counties” where you mean countries, and “dimerits.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “vast population” and “more off time.” Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, and choose vocabulary that expresses the intended point precisely. Proofreading and checking unfamiliar words would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “However,” “Consequently,” and “because,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, though they rarely prevent the reader from following your meaning. For example, “spending holiday … would minimised” has an incorrect verb form, while “travling abroad … allow” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles and sentence punctuation, as in “In contrast, In this essay” and “I would'nt have seen Sweden If…”. Work on consistent verb forms and agreement, and check sentence boundaries, capitalisation and apostrophes. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex sentences clearer.
