Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all three bullet points: recommending a sport (volleyball), explaining how to learn it, and suggesting learning it together. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. The instructions for learning the sport are somewhat disjointed and lack sufficient detail to fully satisfy the task requirements. Because the response is under-length, it fails to provide the depth expected for a Band 6 or higher, resulting in a lower score for task achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which makes the flow of ideas feel rushed and somewhat disorganized. While there are some attempts at cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Furthermore', they are used somewhat mechanically. The transition between the recommendation and the instructions is abrupt. To improve, you should organize your email into distinct paragraphs: one for the introduction, one for the recommendation and instructions, and one for the closing suggestion to join together.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for a basic email but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'messgae' for 'message', 'reccomend' for 'recommend', 'staminar' for 'stamina', and 'strach' for 'stretch'. Additionally, the phrase 'attributable to height' is used incorrectly in this context. You should focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring correct spelling to improve your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include 'moved in the same town where i lived' (should be 'to the same town where I live'), 'this sport need more staminar' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'i m join with you' (incorrect verb tense). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with the use of capital letters for 'I'. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
