Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: recommending a sport (soccer), explaining how to learn it (online, classes, personal coach), and suggesting you learn together. The tone is appropriate for an email to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention searching online or joining classes, these points could be expanded with more detail to fully satisfy the 'well-developed' requirement of higher bands. The response is clear and maintains a consistent, friendly position throughout, ensuring the reader understands your intent without ambiguity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The email is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your train of thought. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions feel slightly mechanical or are used in contexts where they do not flow naturally. For example, 'Therefore' is used to introduce a friend who gives training, which is not a logical consequence of the previous sentence. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'I'll am really excited to join you with this sport', where the connection between the suggestion and the excitement could be smoother.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'spare time', 'entertaining', and 'personal training'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'I recently know you wanna learn' (should be 'I recently learned you want to learn') and 'not a rocket science' (the article 'a' is unnecessary here). You also use 'doing a lot fun', which is grammatically incorrect; 'having a lot of fun' would be the natural collocation. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, these errors prevent the response from reaching a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'As you belonging to Canada' (should be 'As you belong to Canada'), 'there is a numerous places' (should be 'there are numerous places'), and 'I'll am really excited' (a double verb error). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While these errors do not impede communication—the message remains clear—they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your accuracy.
