Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response successfully addresses all three bullet points of the task. You recommend basketball, explain how to learn it through a local organization, and suggest learning it together. The tone is appropriate for an email to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, while you mention the organization is popular and has reasonable fees, adding a specific detail about the training schedule or the type of facilities would have provided a more fully developed response. The purpose of the email is clear throughout, and the requirements of the prompt are fully met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'and secondly' and 'with this' to link your thoughts. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and punctuation errors, such as 'In this town. there is...' where a period is used incorrectly. The transition between the recommendation and the suggestion to join together is clear, but the overall cohesion could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that punctuation does not break the flow of your sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You use a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'organization', 'reasonable', and 'utilize'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'i have my one of friend' (should be 'a friend of mine') and 'i have also a plenty of time' (should be 'plenty of time'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over English collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural phrasing and avoiding repetitive sentence structures.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a basketball'), word order ('i have also a plenty of time'), and punctuation (the aforementioned sentence fragment). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage also need attention. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that distract the reader. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for punctuation errors would significantly improve your score in this criterion.
