Dear Sam,

It is great to hear from you! I am really glad you are thinking about starting a new sport, and I have the perfect recommendation for you,tennis. It is a fantastic way to stay fit, and since our town has excellent public courts,it is very accessible.

The best way to start learning is by taking a few beginner lessons at the local community sport center. They offer affordable group classes every weekend where a coach teaches you the basic rules, how to serve, and how to hold the racket. You can also watch some online tutorials to understand the footwork before you hit the court.

Actually, I have been wanting to pick up a new activity too. Why don't we sign up for the beginner classes together? It would be a lot of fun, and we can practice with each other during the week.
