Dear Joey,
Hopefully, you and your family are in great spirits! I'm so sorry for not being in touch lately, but I wanted to make up for now by helping you out in learning cricket.
As you're exploring a new sport to learn, I think that cricket will be an excellent choice. It is a game that can sharp your memory as well as will keep you physically fit.
There are plenty of options available online such as cricketguru.com and icc.com from where you can acquire the basic rules of cricket. On top of that, you can watch the live test matches between India and England to boost up the knowledge.
I would suggest that we both can learn cricket together if you're available on weekends. Also, I have all the necessary equipments along with the small ground in my backyard where we can do practice at the initial stage.
Give my love to your family. Do get back to me whenever you get a chance. Can't wait to see you soon!
