Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: recommending tennis, explaining how to learn it, and suggesting you learn together. The tone is appropriate for an email to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, while you mention the government opened a new court, adding a bit more detail about why tennis is specifically good for your friend would have strengthened the response. The structure is clear, and the purpose of the email is immediately apparent to the reader, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The email is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'so' and 'but' to connect ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and there is a lack of more sophisticated linking words or phrases. The referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the suggestion to learn together and the scheduling conflict could be smoother. Overall, the message is easy to follow, which is consistent with the Band 6.0 descriptor.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly, such as 'physical and mental health' and 'necessary equipments'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'equvepments', 'letter' instead of 'later', 'loveing') and some awkward phrasing like 'thinking for join'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a need for more attention to word choice and spelling accuracy to reach a higher band. The vocabulary is sufficient for the task but lacks the flexibility required for a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Hope so you are doing well' (should be 'I hope you are doing well'), 'as they have trainer' (missing article), and 'no need buy' (missing verb/preposition). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors means that the grammar is not consistently accurate. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve your control.
