Dear Arman,
I wish your doing well. I'm so happy to heard that you want to learn a sport and I would like to suggest you to go for swimming as we used to listen about it from our other friends. Moreover, you are also interested in it so you should go for it.
Aramn as we used to enjoy in summers around the water parks near our city. It will be refresh our childhood memories as well. The best part you wear afraid of water and once I take you to the pond of park and you wear crying.
I want you to come out of you afraid and become mater in it. Actully we both will be enjoy it and will have the chance to spend more and more time together. As we live in same city. It would be so easy for us to commute together.
I'm sure that you would love the idea. I will be waiting for your reply.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully covers all bullet points required by the prompt. You have recommended swimming as a suitable sport for your friend, explained how he could learn it by utilizing nearby water parks and engaging in practice, and suggested that you both learn it together to spend more time. The tone of the email is friendly and appropriate for a letter to an acquaintance. However, some of the ideas are slightly repetitive or lack full elaboration, such as the explanation of how to learn the sport, which relies more on childhood memories than practical learning steps. This places the response comfortably at Band 6, as all parts are addressed with relevant ideas, though some areas could have been developed with greater clarity and detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with a clear friendly opening and closing. Paragraphing is used to separate different ideas, such as the initial recommendation, the childhood memories, and the final suggestion to commute and learn together. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty and mechanical. For instance, transitional phrases like 'Moreover' and 'Actully' feel slightly unnatural, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the sudden shift to addressing 'Aramn' with a typo in the name and abrupt changes between sentences. Paragraphing could also be structured more neatly to ensure smoother progression of ideas. These features reflect the Band 6 descriptor, where cohesion is sometimes faulty and paragraphing lacks complete polish.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message about swimming and your shared memories. You attempt some less common vocabulary, such as 'commute' and 'refresh our childhood memories', but there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors. Examples include 'hear' spelled as 'heard', 'wear afraid' instead of 'were afraid', 'mater' instead of 'master', and 'Actully' instead of 'Actually'. Additionally, phrases like 'listen about it' are unnatural. Because these errors do not seriously impede communication but restrict the precision and flexibility of expression, the vocabulary performance aligns with Band 5.5, rounding to Band 6 for adequate task coverage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I'm so happy to heard that you want to learn a sport and I would like to suggest you to go for swimming...' However, the text contains a high frequency of grammatical errors. Examples include tense and auxiliary verb errors like 'I wish your doing well', incorrect verb forms like 'once I take you', and confusion between adjectives and nouns such as 'you wear afraid of water' instead of 'you were afraid'. Punctuation and sentence boundary issues also occur, such as fragment sentences like 'As we live in same city.' Despite these frequent errors, the meaning remains mostly clear to the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptor where frequent errors in complex structures can cause some difficulty but basic communication is maintained.
