Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requirements: you recommend football, explain that your friend could use a local coaching centre and YouTube videos, and invite them to join a club with you. The advice is relevant and the friendly tone suits an email to someone you know. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “you can make new friends” and “enhance your career” are brief reasons, and the learning advice could be more specific about how lessons or practice would help. The suggestion to learn together is clear, but adding a practical detail—such as choosing a beginner class or a regular practice day—would make the response more complete and useful.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The email has a clear overall order: it introduces the recommendation, gives ways to learn, and ends with an invitation and closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “One more suggestion” show an attempt to connect ideas. At times, however, the connections feel mechanical or the reference is unclear, particularly in “The reason is suggest you this game while playing this game…” and “One more suggestion be while playing football.” These sentences interrupt the progression. Use a clearer topic sentence for each paragraph and connect each supporting detail directly to the main point. This would make the organisation smoother while preserving the appropriate email format.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main advice, including “local coaching centre,” “rules,” “friends,” and “local football club.” The friendly expressions also suit the relationship with the recipient. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the message awkward—for example, “learn new sport,” “enhance your career in this game,” and “watch some YouTube videos about this game rules.” There are also spelling errors such as “footbal,” “comfertable,” and “cloths.” Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully; this will make your advice clearer and more natural without changing its friendly tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “if you are comfortable we can both join a local football club,” and the main message remains understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation make several sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “I am glad that you are trying to learn new sport” needs an article, while “playing games are good for health” has an agreement problem. The sentence beginning “The reason is suggest you this game” is also structurally incomplete. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles and agreement. A few well-controlled complex sentences would improve accuracy and variety.
