The illustration describes how sugar is created from sugar cane.

Overall, we can observe 7 stages of the sugar producing process. The first steps mention the growing and harvesting phase while the rest dives deep into the intricate procedures of sugar making.

Firstly, the growing period of the sugar canes last anywhere from one year to a year and a half. Next comes the harvest. There are two ways to collect the crops, by means of machinery or by physical labor. When enough canes are accumulated, they are put into a machine with two rotating wheels attached to the side; the sugar canes are crushed so as to extract juice from them. The juice is, then, poured into a cone named limestone filter to be purified.

When there is enough sugary liquid, it is placed in an evaporator. In this container, the juice turns into syrup from the heat. As this heating stage is completed, the syrup, furthermore, goes through a process called "centrifuge", a movement of circular and outwards rotation. In this stage, the sugar crystals, which will eventually become the final product, are separated from the sugary syrup. Finally, the resulting crystals are dried and cooled down to ultimately transform into sugar.
