The illustration depicts the process of producing sugar from sugar cane.

Overall, it is a seven-stage process that begins with growing sugar cane for 12 to 18 months and ends with drying and cooling the refined sugar.

In the beginning, sugar cane is cultivated for a period of 12 to 18 months on the farm. The grown sugarcane is then harvested either by cutting it with a sickle or using heavy equipment. After harvesting, the sugarcane is passed through a machine, where it is crushed to liquid juice.

In the next stage, the juice is purified using a limestone filter to filter out any impurities. The purified liquid is then heated in an evaporator at a suitable temperature to convert the juice into syrup. The next step involves centrifugation, which separates sugar crystals from syrup by rotating it in a spiral motion. In the final stage, sugar crystals are dried and cooled in a steel container.
