This illustration provides a detailed breakdown of how sugar is produced from sugarcane.

Overall, this process is linear in nature, comprising 7 steps, beginning with cultivation, followed by harvesting, crushing, purifying the juice, evaporating after juice becomes syrup, seperating sugar crystals from syrup and cumulating on drying and cooling.

Initially, sugarcane is cultivated in the field for the period of 12-18 months before being harvested, either manually or by machine. Later, it is transported to the processing facilities, where it is crushed by a rolling machine inorder to produce juice. Then, the juice is purified using a limestone filter, before going through evaporation, which converts juice into syrup. Furthermore, centrifuge is used to seperate suger crystals from syrup. Lastly, it undergoes the final step of drying and cooling. Therefore, this marks the completion of the sugar manufacturing process, with the raw sugarcane having been transformed into the final sugar product.
