The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

How sugar is produced from sugar cane

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The process chart illustrates thr production of sugar from the sugarcane juice.

Overall, there total seven stages are shown in the chart. initially,grown sugarcane sticks are transported in the factory and at the end final product sugar is ready to deliver.

At initial stage, growing sugarcane which is between the age group of 12 to 18 months are harvested by farmer. After that this sugarcanes are transfered into the crushing machine. where , sugarcane is juiced is extracted following that this liquid juice are poured into the purifier in which limestone filter is attached.In the middle of the process now, the filtered juice are sent into the evaporator machine. where sugarcane juice is being heated in the vessel and the juice starts converting into the syrup. At last, now cooled syrup is sent in the centrifuge to separates sugar crystals from the syrup. In the final ,stage this sugar crystal are being dried and than cooled after that our final product is ready to pack and delivered.
