The process chat illustrates how sugar were made with the help of sugar cane.
Overall, the process had six steps,it begin with growing the sugar care in fields it is very long process takes up to 12-13 month to get ready a sugarcane crop and ends with drying and cooling the sugar in large container.
To begin with, the sugar canes takes around 12 to 13 months to grow. After growing it was harvested by with the help of tractor and in some case people use hands, followed by crushing process in which the sugar canes crushed with a machine and made juice out of it.
Moving towards remaining steps, the juice of sugar canes were purified with limestone filter before evaporating water from it and become thick syrup.Although sugar put into container and dried and cool, sugar crystals were separated from syrup by using centrifuge process. Finally, sugar was ready and packed and send to market for sale.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the main stages from growing and harvesting through processing to drying and cooling, and your overview identifies the beginning and end of the process. The stated growing period is close to the diagram’s 12–18 months, but “six steps” is inaccurate because seven stages are shown. Some details are also unclear or unsupported: the diagram shows sugar crystals separated from syrup in the centrifuge before the final drying and cooling stage, whereas your account makes the order difficult to follow. The claims that sugar is packed and sent to market are not shown. To strengthen the response, report the seven stages in their exact sequence and focus on the diagram rather than adding an assumed final destination.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction and overview are followed by two paragraphs describing the process. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moving towards remaining steps,” and “Finally” help guide the reader, and the main progression is generally understandable. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some movement towards more flexible organisation. However, the links between stages are sometimes mechanical, and the final paragraph presents drying and cooling before the centrifuge, despite the diagram’s order. Punctuation spacing also makes transitions less smooth. Group the stages in their actual sequence and use clear references such as “the resulting syrup” and “the separated crystals” to connect each step.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “crushing,” “limestone filter,” “syrup,” and “centrifuge,” so the reader can identify most of the production stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “process chat,” “sugar care,” “made juice out of it,” and “dried and cool.” “Sugar cane” and “sugar canes” are also used inconsistently, and “packed and send to market” introduces wording not supported by the diagram. These noticeable errors sometimes make the description less precise, although the central meaning remains accessible. Aim for standard process terms and accurate verb-noun combinations, such as “extract the juice” and “separate crystals from the syrup.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a sequence linked with “before” and a sentence beginning “Although.” However, control is uneven, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. Examples include “how sugar were made,” “it begin,” “the sugar canes takes,” and “the sugar canes crushed.” The sentence “Although sugar put into container and dried and cool” is incomplete and does not form a clear contrast. Commas are often attached to the following word, and some sentences run together, which makes the process harder to follow. Practise accurate passive forms for process descriptions—for example, “the canes are crushed”—and check subject–verb agreement and complete clauses.
