Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover the main stages and give a clear overview, noting that the process has seven stages and moves from growing cane through to sugar crystals. The duration is also reported accurately as “almost 1 year to one and half year,” and you mention both manual and mechanical harvesting. This meets the task well, with some features described less fully: for example, the crushing stage is mentioned, but the separation of juice from the cane is not clearly explained, and the centrifuge’s role in separating crystals from syrup is described only generally as “crystalization.” To strengthen the response further, report the stages in precise sequence and explain the key transformation at each one, especially purification and separation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the process. The sequence is generally understandable, and transitions such as “Initially,” “after that,” and “In stage 6” help guide the reader. However, progression is sometimes weakened by abrupt or unclear links, particularly “main process to convert sugar cane into sugar start from stage 4,” which conflicts with the earlier stages and makes the sequence harder to follow. Some linking is also mechanical, with repeated “process” and “after” constructions. Use one paragraph for the early stages and another for the later stages, and connect each step consistently with phrases such as “The resulting juice is then…” and “Once syrup has formed…”.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvesting,” “limestone filters,” “evaporator,” “syrup,” and “crystals,” so the reader can follow the subject. There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “crystalization.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “feilds,” “extrct,” “mechines,” “cleaaning,” and “finaly.” Phrases such as “with complete process” and “a complete process of crystalization start” are also not natural descriptions of a production sequence. Aim for accurate spelling and standard collocations, for example, “the process consists of seven stages” and “the syrup is separated into sugar crystals.” This would make your vocabulary more precise and easier to read.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in sentence structure and basic grammar occur often enough to limit clarity. For example, “The illustration show” needs subject–verb agreement, while “sugar cane converted into sugar” is missing a passive verb form. Several sentences also lack clear boundaries or complete clauses, as in “then harvesting, crushing of sugar cane to extrct the juice. after this process of cleaning…” Articles and verb forms are also inconsistent in “its take almost 1 year” and “sugar cane harvest by man power.” Practise forming complete passive sentences for process descriptions, such as “The cane is harvested and then crushed,” and check agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
