The diagram gives information about the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.
Overallview, of diagram started from growing the sugar and it ended at drying and cooling sugar to make sugar cane.
When the plants of sugar cane ready to harvest. The people harvest the plants of sugar cane by hand and other machines that are used to harvesting. When they harvest the sugar cane they were convert the plants of sugar cane into juice by crushing and rolling into machines. The machines snatch juice from the sugar cane plants. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as sugar production and describe several relevant stages, including harvesting, crushing, filtering, heating, and drying/cooling. However, the account is only partly accurate and leaves important details unclear. The overview says the process ends with “drying and cooling sugar to make sugar cane,” although the final product is sugar, not sugar cane. The growing stage and its 12–18-month duration are omitted, and the centrifuge is misrepresented: it separates sugar crystals from syrup after evaporation, rather than being the result of heating. The response does not clearly explain the full sequence from growing to the finished sugar. Include a concise, accurate overview and report each main stage in the correct order.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence, using markers such as “After this process” and “When this process is complete,” so the reader can recognise that several stages follow one another. However, progression is not consistently clear: the account moves from heating to separating crystals and syrup, then says the juice is “converted into certifuge,” which makes the relationship between stages difficult to follow. Paragraphing is also limited, with the overview and process details not clearly separated. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, and “When the plants of sugar cane ready to harvest” is an incomplete opening to the process description. Organise the response into a clear overview and a step-by-step body, using precise links such as “Next,” “Following evaporation,” and “Finally.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “crushing,” “limestone filter,” “purify,” “syrup,” and “drying and cooling.” This gives the response a basic range suited to the topic. However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the process hard to understand. “Snatch juice” is not a natural way to describe extraction, “dram” is an inaccurate term for the heating container, and “certifuge” is a misspelling of “centrifuge.” Phrases such as “plants of sugar cane” and “the people step forward” are also imprecise or unnatural in a process description. Use standard technical terms consistently and prefer concise verbs such as “extract,” “filter,” and “separate.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect stages with subordinate clauses, for example, “When the plants of sugar cane ready to harvest” and “When this process is complete,” but control of sentence structure is weak. The first clause is incomplete because it lacks a verb, while “When juice claerly purify then people heat the juice” has problems with verb form and clause construction. Tense and agreement also shift, as in “they were convert” and “the people used.” Articles and prepositions are often missing or incorrectly used, and several long sentences combine stages without clear grammatical boundaries. These errors sometimes obscure meaning. Practise accurate passive forms for processes, such as “the cane is crushed” and “the juice is heated,” alongside shorter, complete sentences.
