Student answer (Band 6.5)
As the technology is evolving, new payment methods are replacing the old way of payment, which is 'Cash' Payment. One of the early best known example are visa and mastercards. Even paying by cards is now out dated with the introductions of new technology for examples Paypal in the United States and UPI in India. Now the best part about these techonolgies are that they are available at your fingertips. You can access these morderns application on your phones.
Even after the introduction of new technologies and safer payment gateways, in many countries, people still prefer doing daily transactions in cash. There are several of reasons for this, definitely lack of digital infrastruture is one of the common reason.
Nevertheless, one undenying fact is that every day hundreads of new users are switching to technology or choosing digital platforms for transactions. Definitely, the probability of that day where all the transactions will take places through cards or phone is really high and thats mean people will no longer be able to fay for things in cash. The day is far but will eventually come.
Moreover, on the other hands some people might not be happy to give up using cash. Possibly reasons could be lack of trust and Psychology. Another reason is to support black market of illegal transactions.
South asians countries like India, where they have UPI still majority of people prefer doing business or transaction in case and they argue it is because of Psycology, they are physical present in the process of exchange. Also one argument that local business gives, the system works like that and sometimes it takes time for people to move from methods that they are followings from centuries.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons for public resistance. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While you identify reasons like 'lack of digital infrastructure' and 'psychology', these points are not fully extended with specific examples or logical depth. For instance, the mention of the 'black market' is a relevant point but remains underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by a clear explanation or a concrete example that directly links back to the question. The position is clear, but the overall argument would benefit from more detailed elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the flow of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Nevertheless', 'Moreover', and 'Also', but these are sometimes used mechanically or with minor errors in placement. The transition between ideas is generally logical, but the internal structure of some paragraphs is slightly disjointed. For example, the final paragraph introduces new points about South Asian countries that could have been integrated more smoothly into the earlier discussion on reasons for resistance. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'digital infrastructure', 'transactions', and 'gateways'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'techonolgies', 'morderns', 'fay', and 'Psycology'. Additionally, some phrases are slightly unnatural, such as 'physical present in the process of exchange'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of precise, error-free vocabulary to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('there are several of reasons', 'that's mean people will no longer be able to fay') and punctuation errors. Some sentences are also fragmented or awkward, such as 'One of the early best known example are visa and mastercards'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralisation and verb tense consistency. The errors are noticeable but do not cause significant difficulty in understanding your core message.
