Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons for resistance. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons for the shift (safety, crime reduction) and reasons for resistance (lack of technological knowledge, emotional value of cash), the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the example regarding 'grand children' is a good attempt at illustration, but the explanation of why this prevents a move to digital payments could be more robust. To improve, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear logical links rather than just stating the idea.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'To commences with' (grammatical error) and 'Thus, it is clear that' used repetitively. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary like 'online payment method' and 'digital technology'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'snatching' (which is informal), 'introduse' (spelling error), and 'take a place' (incorrect collocation). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. You should also work on spelling accuracy, as errors like 'affraied' and 'introduse' detract from the professional tone of the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'it will be happened' (incorrect passive voice), 'individuals would not able to' (missing 'be'), and 'they are not know' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs.
