Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless society and the reasons for public resistance. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'illiteracy' is mentioned but not fully explained in the context of digital payments. The argument regarding cyber fraud is relevant, but the examples provided are generic. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' behind these points with more specific, nuanced reasoning. Overall, the response is relevant and covers all requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by grammatical errors, such as 'This will fairly going to be happened one day'. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'transparency', 'cyber fraud', and 'sustainable future'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'lifestyle of living', 'currency is forge' (should be 'forged'), and 'they hinder using smart technology'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your expression. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring word forms are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'This will fairly going to be happened', 'money will directly reached', and 'the shopkeeper do not have'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. While the meaning remains clear, the control over complex structures is inconsistent. Increasing your accuracy in verb tenses and subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
