Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position on the future of cash and explaining why some people might be reluctant to abandon it. Your ideas are relevant and supported by personal examples, such as your father's perspective and your own experience with digital wallets. However, the essay ends abruptly mid-sentence, which is a significant omission that prevents a fully developed conclusion. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended and that the response is complete. The ideas are generally well-developed, but the lack of a finished conclusion impacts the overall task completion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'The predominant reason behind is that,' 'Additionally,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though the abrupt ending disrupts the flow of the final paragraph. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your paragraphing is consistent and that your ideas flow smoothly from one to the next without sudden stops.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'predominant,' 'advancement,' and 'purchasing habits.' There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'cash money is keep getting limited' (should be 'is becoming increasingly limited') and 'very few percentage of people' (should be 'a small percentage of people'). While these errors do not impede communication, they show a need for more precise control over collocations and phrasing. Expanding your vocabulary to include more sophisticated synonyms and idiomatic expressions would help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'It also come with' (should be 'comes'), 'my father always prefer paying' (should be 'prefers'), and 'he does not trust card payments' (missing 'using'). These errors are frequent but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move toward a higher band.
