Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the likelihood of a cashless future and the reasons for public reluctance. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding security and convenience are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the explanation of why people fear electronic payments is vague, relying on general statements about 'frauds' and 'leaks' without specific examples or logical expansion. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed reasoning and concrete examples to support your claims, ensuring that the discussion is fully developed rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To instance' and 'To conclude' are used, but the internal flow between sentences is frequently disjointed. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between carrying money and feeling insecure is not logically linked to the conclusion that cards are 'relevant'. Improving the variety and precision of linking words will help create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good and services' (should be 'goods') and 'mishappening', which is not a standard collocation in this context. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'stuck in fraud'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in word formation limit the score. Using more precise terminology related to finance and technology would significantly enhance your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('individuals... don't wants'), article usage, and sentence structure ('using excess of everything might leads to some problems'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, such as 'if a person going for shopping... feel insecure'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralisation before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
